this coaster has taken off arms of crash test dummies. granted, while still in testing phase, i can see why accidents can occur with coaster being so wide.  If there are two trains, and one happens to get dispatched at a wrong time, there appears to be points where these trains can collide on the sides.

@LaurennAmyy10 SW7 looks very good from the plans and should be a great addition for the park- a very bold statement being made by Alton Towers! I think it's too early to decide which will be the best experience as they're both so different to each other. If you enjoy longer rides then clearly SW7 will come up trumps.

@SadisticEmoRockChick The actual ride time, from the top of the lift to the end brakes is around 40 seconds. However the official statistics for the ride state that it is over 2 minutes. This figure includes the lift, and brakes as well. As for length in metres, I can't think off the top of my head but I believe it is slightly longer than Inferno.

I've been to 6 flags valencia California and they have a ride already called X2 it's the best ride I've ever been on its the worlds first flipping roller coaster! If you love coasters then 6 flags is the place everyone a record breaker can't wait to ride this one tho!

@rctwik It depends on what you mean by biggest. Thorpe is tiny in regards to Alton Towers. it's roughly about the same size as Chessington. However, Thorpe have the opportunity to develop on more of the land that they own than Chessington.

@rctwik Most of Thorpe's coasters are short, absolutely, however with The Swarm, I would argue that it is much better to have a totally finished project with not just a load of track. An awful amount of money is being spent on themeing and scenic elements and effects for the ride to make sure everything looks perfect.

I am on the team building the ride and I can tell you it is not like this!. The track plans are very different and the actual carriage is completely wrong here. If you go to the thorpe park website and scroll over rides , and click on the swarm at the right hand side it will take you to the website where the ride is shown and trust me this is not the ride. Thorpe Park have told all builders to remain confidential and we are not even allowed to tell our families what the ride is. So thats all.
