  • never heard this version b4..808 rule

  • would this classify as techno or house? I know 808 State makes techno and house.

  • This version is sweet and the original is neat. I like this track.

  • And Kraftwerk were much better looking..

  • @Lytton333:many germans still don´t know what´s so mad about kraftwerk.most ambient stuff comes from tangrione dream, cluster, neu or can.kraftwerk were never so popular here. autobahn - okay, but germans get very easily bored.their best was maybe the "Ruckzuck"stuff in 1971.would u say the yellow magic orchestra owes a lot to kraftwerk?i met them here in bonn in 1982 at a cabaret voltaire-gig!(sakamoto and another).once again:nothing malicious against kraftwerk, but they´re overrated

  • Sorry, but it's all just apples from Kraftwerk's tree.

  • Does that make it bad?

Besides there is considerable evolution from kraftwerk both emotionally and musically. 808 have truly their own sound.

And notice what kraftwerk sound like now, very obviously influenced by the dance scene that followed them.

I think there is room for all branches of the musical tree.

  • No, just less important. Listen to this carefully.. it's just autobahn and others re-hashed. And yes, that's why Kraftwerk aren't very good any more.

  • @aarthoor:forget teaching the kraftwerk manics.they´re as dumb-folded as johnny-cash-hardcore-fans or henry-rollins-hardcore-fans:Yeah! kraftwerk as law-makers on the elecktronickmountain SInai! lol! germans(who can get easily bored) never were that much into kraftwerk as the raging ravers.i´m asking myself wot da fuck HAVE 808 state to do with kraftwerk?devo ARE better than kraftwerk etc.the whole british 70s/80s electronic scene (leer/rental):MUCH better than Kraftwerk!

  • @aarthoor Actually, the one that started this style was Gorgio Moroder. Kraftwerk had a different sound when they first came out. right after Moroder came in with his distinctive style during the Disco electronic years, Kraftwerk applied it. Listen to Moroder's "I feel love" by Donna Summers and compare it Kraftwerk's "Metropolis." The 1970's and early 80's were Kraftwerk best decades. But it had Moroder written all over it. Moroder IS the origin of Electronica, House etc. It's all from disco.

  • Finally! this video is back after it diappeared off of Youtube a whiloe back.

  • amazing sound! I saw this video back in 1991 and I tought it was very cool!

  • should be at jfk twa terminal

  • It's a cool video and great to see they made one for this, but this version of the track is "tarted up" from the Ex:El original which is a wee bit better... just sayin'. I do LOVE 808 State though and thanks for this...
