As its own movie, Godzilla '98 was a good movie. It just wasnt a good Godzilla movie.

@KTH568 Thats fair. But still, if you look at the movie, you notice that they actually did set it apart from Godzilla himself. The one shown was an overgrown iguana. And the only reason the characters called him Godzilla is because the Japanese Fisherman confused him with their Titanical monster, to which that dumb american reporter called it 'Godzilla'. So the characters are stupid for thinking it's him, but they sort of made it in a way to show you that it really isn't.

Zilla is what Toho renamed the monster from the 1998 American Godzilla because it strayed to far from the Original Godzilla..

Toho the company that owns Godzilla were so disgusted with how Tri-Star an Sony treated there property that they named it ''Zilla'' because it wasn't even the same creature..So it wasn't even a real Godzilla movie.

There is an American Reboot of Godzilla coming in 2014 by Legendary Pictures an Warner Bro's which will have the real Toho Godzilla n it

Nice but the down motion is too early, the foot should plant first then take the weight. The hip twist is too quick as well, the peak of each rotation should match the furthest forward the foot is. that's one reason why the tail jerks a bit. Otherwise it's really nice, the head and front section has some nice secondary.

What do you mean sadly?The only redeeming thing about Zilla was ''The T.V. Series'' which was more the Japanese Godzilla. Have you seen (Godzilla vs Biollante)? That suit an Roar are awesome... I hope they go that route for the Reboot. Zilla was decent in it's own right but a terrible Godzilla, an the movie is just a matter of opinion i thought it was garbage. But you know it's be CGI, He'll have his atomic breath. They released Concept art at Comic this year. The design looks great.

Great sample but its a reminder of how un god-zilla that creature was. Too many changes and if another Godzilla movie is done they should keep more of the original godzilla form, use avatar like 3D effects and show gamorra.

I can almost see the same thing with this video that I see with the Renamon walking test. It looks like the feet are slipping as they make it all the way back. Just before the foot is raised and brought forward for another step, it looks like the foot slips, giving it a flicking (or kicking) appearance.

Toho didn't like G98, but they liked his son from the animated series because he was more like godzilla from the fact he was immune to conventional weaponary, could regenerate his health and could breathe atomic fire.
