  • excellent :D

The Last of the Mohicans by Nitro

  • Same track as in that Nike NFL 2007 commercial

  • One of the touching soundtrack ever...

  • this song is so universal and powerful, and it's amazingly beautiful.

  • This is one of the only songs that just makes me perfectly relaxed just by listening to it.

  • "The Kiss" and "The Butterfly" I am not kidding when I say I will give 100$ to the man, woman, or Child who can listin to both, in any form, back to back and not either cry, smile, or show some kind of emotion!!!

  • I think this is the most perfect sound ever created

  • @funkyscissors - Dude --- why am i making a complete ass out of myself because I think another movie is superior to this one? Yes, it is my opnion. So what? This is not a court room. Besides I never called my earlier comment a fact. Trolling? what exactly am I trolling for? Are you just deliberate trying to stir up a fight with posters here? Surprised that someone would stand up to your rants?

  • @exotiquerobert & @funkyscissors - Alright boys...(or girls lol). Funkyscissors...i personally think this isn't the "best soundtrack of all time". That doesn't make me an a**. It's just my opinion. So LAY OFF!...exoticquerobert-don't fight...it isn't worth it...they're just being...um how should i put it...too sensitive... totally wit ya man. it's not ur fault so just leave it....lol i'm wit ya tho lol

  • how can i download this song ??

  • Sorry folks. this not the best movie sound track of all time (whatever that means...). that honor goes to the sound track from "Cinema Paradiso". Be sure to watch it before you pick a contentious debate with me.

  • @exotiquerobert Dude, quit trolling. If you think that's the best, go watch that instead of dragging yourself here to make a complete ass out of yourself. I don't see what your business would be to be here other than make an opinion and call it a fact. It's only a fact if it can be proven with evidence. That statement is only an opinion, your own personal preference, something that cannot be proven with factual evidence. Please, do us a favor and go be stupid somewhere else.

  • Absolutely Beautiful!

  • Nincs ennél jobb!

  • sounds a little too celtic in my opinoin

  • @crazykeller4 ...that's part of why this is a brilliant soundtrack to a movie that was set in a time of heavy European influence in America

  • i thought it was called the gael

  • God love Dougie MacLean.

  • @Chicagoan444 is he the composer?

  • Comment removed

  • @pauletorres Yes. He wrote the fiddle tune. It's called "The Gael." If you search on You Tube, there is a video of Dougie playing his original composition in concert.

  • I just screwed this hotchick while listening to this song

  • This song is beautiful.

  • Ah..this brings back memories of a girl, long nights together and lots of making love.

  • This is the version from the Fort Battle I believe, the other version is called Promentory if I recall and is from the finale as we all know

  • i love this song

  • @Vader100000 I know!! it's the only song I am always in the mood to listen! I've never ever tired from it =)

  • @pauletorres how you seen the movie?

  • this shit goes hard

  • This song has just so much passion in it! When I listen to it I feel just...amazing!

  • Best film ever made =)

  • I am addcited to this song :) I love it!!! Haha, my geometry teacher plays music while we're working, and this is one of the songs she plays!! I always recognize it!! :D

  • wonderful

  • Good fight music. Gets me amped.

  • @KJV1C1OUS me too ready for a good brawl now

  • @KJV1C1OUS then check out "wallace bled - by saor patrol" - it's on youtube - "full throttle" also by saor patrol is also very good "fightin' music"

  • best film ever, loved it since i was a wee lad and will love it til i die..........

  • it's awesome!!!

  • This is my favorite movie bar none. I remember seeing it on FX like 12 years ago and being entranced by this very song. I watched the entire thing and have loved it ever since. Truly Beautiful Film.

  • some1 good play this on the violin

  • The song is 'The Gael' written by Scotsman Dougie Maclean. Google his website.

It has nothing to do with Ireland.

  • @Rhicullen It was by the irish orchestra i believe. Which is kinda dissapointing because they did rape and pillage indians (kinda ironic)

  • I thought that the movie was better than the book. The storyline is like much better.

  • Agreed, actually. A rare case that is so. James Cooper could sometimes write good action scenes, but his prose and attempts to blend with the Romantics of his time fall flat. He did not have a good ear for the beauty of words imho.

  • This is like my favorite movie, this music makes me like cry dude. :[ Why can't Nathaniel be reaaaaaaal?

  • Why this song is called "the kiss" it's not "The Gael" ? I think so.

    Anyway really deep song.

  • @AlPaChowYunFatKhan cause it's a kissing scene when this song sounds in the movie

  • Ok thx dude! :)

  • thats because the novel is like 200 years old

  • Amen!!!

I bet people think Hollywood "wrote" this story

  • I read it.

  • something that is hella tight is that my dad and a friend of his made the rifles for this movie. We love the movie but for some reason they never said "Thanks to Northstar West for making the rifles" haha

  • I know the music is Irish, but the song for some reason makes me think of the American Revolution and feelings of patriotism

  • Not surprising. Many of the original settlers to the eastern coast of America, particularly New York, Connecticut, and Boston were indeed Irish. If this theme invokes feelings of patriotism in your blood, it could be that you've got Irish in your blood.

  • What makes this song truly beautiful is not that you must be Irish to enjoy it. Only the greatest of songs transcend cultures to be loved by all.

  • the music is irish

  • I love this movie

  • This music is the stuff of legends, absolutely incredible!

  • love this song, also this part when cara is kiss by hawkeye

  • good movie!

  • Last of the Mohicans is one of the best movies i have ever seen, it is a wonderful movie, i woul recemend it to everyone...and with this soundtrack, it makes it even better

  • i agree

  • I agree. You should check out some of Daniel Day Lewis's other movies if you haven't seen them.

  • One of the greatest films ever backed up with one the greatest soundtracks ever. The final scene where the father avenges the death of his son with this music in the background sends chills up my spine just thinking about it

  • lollolololol

  • i remember this song from when i was a kid , it gets stuck in my head when im hunting running after pigs , fucking inspirational

  • fucking beutiful very very

  • this is the best movie and soundtrack!!! and i love the violin in it

  • this is possibly the most perfect soundtrack album of all time

  • Totally agree with you, really haunting, so perfect to reflect the death of a people

  • "reflect the death of a people"

It might by stretch of the imagination , but really it seems to reflect the mindset of a purest hunter.

Listen closely, good music doesnt need lyrics. Try to imagine the hopes and motivation of a hunter when he gathers his tools, then the reality that hits him when the icy winds greet him at the door.

  • i love this movie sooooooooo much!! and the song......i been trying to find the sheet music for months.....if you happen to have it plz reply to me..

  • great music fantastic movie one of the best of all time 5/5
