  • You can't clean greasy kitchen cabinets with soap and water. Water makes grease gummy. Use a product called The Victorian House Finish Rejuvenator. Its for removing grease and replacing the oil the finish has lost to repair the faded areas that have turned white and pale. It lasts for years too. Its on the web. It was invented for antiques so it can't harm any finish. I use it on my banister to remove the handgrease and my entry hardwood floor. Its not oily, it goes in the finish. Doris
