  • a great game

  • This, Mega Man 2, Guardian Legend, and Conquest of the Crystal Palace would stay in regular rotation in my NES back in the day! Love it.

  • When I see this my I get a bad taste in my mouth. Not because of the game buuuuuuut...

The goonies was a great movie and a great game was made based on the movie and it was released in Japan only.

The goonies 2 is supposed to be the sequel but guess what...THE MOVIE WAS NEVER CONFIRMED OR MADE. So, They made a game wich was based on a movie that didn't even exist but in rumors!

Wich is the reason why I was like who the f**k is Anny and the end was a total mindf**k for me.

  • Did anyone ever figure out where the damned candle were? I could not find it. Also the man in some rooms who had bad vision and needed goggles. Shame I could not help him.

  • @beltonism You need to beat an old lady with the hammer i believe.

  • i wonder if the cheat sequence works for the goonies 2 title screen just like contra ....up(2) down(2) left, right, left, right,b,a,b,a, select,start.....bingo !

  • 5:31 Konami Man

  • who the fuck is brand?

  • What Do You DO

  • 0:20 one of my favorite nes songs... it brings nostalgic /cry

    :)

  • OUCH! WHAT DO YOU DO?

  • i thought i was the only one who even had this game as a kid, none of my friends did. one of my favs awesome music thruout and a good challenge

  • @lethrneck4 feel the same way

  • I love this game!

It's so easy to forget a path and get lost. It's great! :)

  • Is it just me or doesn't the music when you go through the door sounds like Legend of Zelda.

  • @chaseman94 It's just you.

  • @chaseman94 fucking fairy cave rip-off lol zelda hands down better

  • I was obsessed with One Eye Willie and the Goonies when I was little, born in 1980. Naturally I bought this game for my Nintendo back then. Playing it was a futile exercise. I save a goonie or two, but really could never get anywhere. Way too confusing. Nice to see it finally finished. Thanks!

  • The ultimate move in this game is the Truffle Shuffle.

  • I remember being young and going thru this game until I got stuck...and then all of a sudden I realized I needed some sort of hammer to continue. I must have been some child wiz because looking back....how did I ever finish this game being that young?

  • get out of here waht you do?you

  • 5:58 almost fuked up lol

  • Love this game

  • @djfrijoles me too.

  • This game was so difficult, I ate a meat pie every day for playing at it.

  • @bocheek1 im a vegan i dont believe in killing animals.

  • OUCH! WHAT DO YOU DO?!

  • CHILDHOOD MEMORIES!

  • One of the best games they ever made for the original NES. This, along with Castlevania: SOTN, are among my all time favorite Konami games.

Plus it kicked the Irate Gamer's ass.

  • my friend sean used to eat out his mom while playing this game

  • Transciever @ 4:34! Quick, call Solid Snake to help you!

  • Thanks so much for the memories! I think this, Super Mario Bros, and Contra were my favorite NES games.

  • I love this tune. Used to play this as a kid. I liked the indoor music, it's creepy.

  • I've this game but I don't know what I'm supposed to do! WHAT WERE THEY THINKING! :D

  • lol moonwalking polar bear

  • "Get out of here if you have nothing to do!"

I do have something to do, actually. (Punch!)

    "Ouch, what do you do?"

  • My only significant complaint about this game are the rather uninspired and generic enemies. I would've liked more bosses.

  • Hands down with the excpetion of friday the 13th one of the games i spent the most time just utterly frustrated on

  • @Languagestudys @djfakt watch any friday the 13th speed video and you'll see how cryptic yet simple that game is.

  • Hit Buddha five times to get a candle. Sounds logical.

  • This game took a while for me and my friend to complete but once we did, the game seemed short a second time.

  • You mean I was going through those dark rooms without a candle for no reason? Oh my god.

  • memories

  • LOVE this game... especially the movie.

I never could beat it though.

  • Loved this classic game, but always questioned the morals of those good people at Konami. "Here beat the tar out of this grumpy old lady for a candle, and some hilarious english translation." Oh Konami where have your glory days gone?

  • this game was addictive. It wasn't even that fun but I just kept playing like a zombie lol

  • I just bought this one today. Confusing stuff

  • ya even i forgot the path once or twice in this run

  • the nes never gets old :) so many awesome games and soundtracks...

  • i still have this game ^^

Worst translation i've seen in a game that i've played personally

"Ouch! What do you do!" legendary

I would LOVE to see The Nerd rip into this one

  • I got this as a kid and never played it

  • I love this sound track. I remember playing this game as a kid an humming the music as I played.

  • @tiatrips The music is great. I used to make up lyrics to each of the tracks of music. I was such a dork.

  • @sarnow76 I think everyone did that at some point with soundtracks to video games. I still do it on some stuff I play actually.lol

  • i remember i almost ALMOST won this game as a kid i couldnt find the last goonie to save and i already knew where the chick was too. i gave up and never got back to the game

  • "Ouch! What do you do!" XD

  • Brand is one of the characters in the movie.

  • Brand was mikey's brother remember?

  • this game was so fuuucking hard to me!!!

  • Hell yeah man. How are you supposed to know to hammer a certain wall? I was like 7 when I got this game and I was hella stuck on it and gave up.

  • it's memorization

  • Man, the Konami sound-sets were so much different than Caccom's. They both were VERY distinctive but both equally different. I'm a sound designer and I've always found it strange that they had such uniquely different sounds and FX.

This game has TONS of classic BGM! And that is a BIG part of what made a great NES game - THE MUSIC!

It's so nostalgic to hear these jams; not nearly as cool without the sound...

  • Here, here! I HATE when people talk over game footage. They are almost NEVER funny or insightful. It's just more assholes looking for their fifteen minutes. So thank you for bringing me back to my childhood; I LOVED this game...I can't believe I beat this shit...I had no walk-throughs or books or anything.

  • @djfakt, I completely agree with this. I think with the internet people can't resist taking advantage of the opportunity to become "instant stars." And so they do "Let's Play's" or even fan DVD commentaries that are utterly useless. They have no genuine opinion, insight or even humor. All they do is say whatever glib comment that springs to mind and assume that as long as it's snarky, then it's solid gold. There are a few people who are actually entertaining, but they are rare.

  • @djfakt Ah man ! what a nice periode of time. Hate 3D games. :)

  • Check out The Irate Gamer Episode.

  • I love when people do a playthrough of a game without doing obnoxious commentary. Thank you.
