  • Thank you. Thank you so very much.

  • :'D

  • :3 I just found my GBC and this game!!

  • i was so gutted when no other level in the game had thos music. It was awesome.

  • 8-bit is the real life

  • @snipedog Nah dude, this is Gameboy mono sound. This is 4-bit 4ever.

  • Bananas for free! Grab a barrel and dance

  • I see alot of people covering the Donkey Kong Country music on there instruments but anyone please do the Land themes aswell?

  • i've literally been singing this song for 15 years, but i totally forgot where it was from until i found this video, thank you so much for posting this and for helping me reunite with this song

  • SNES eat your heart out! because this sound-bit is better.

  • I listen to this every time i run around in GTA shooting people

  • for some reason everytime i hear this song it reminds me of amanda bynes

  • Fuxk Man !! This is what I've been looking for ~~!!! Thanks for uploading

  • AAAARRRGH! NOSTALGIA ATTACK!!!!

  • In DKL2, why doesn't this play on the actual Rattle Battle stage.

  • I always considered the DKL games' music WAY more UPBEAT than the DKC games' music. This is just one of the many tracks that prove that. Both are still great though.

  • Favourite music in the game, too bad it was only on the first level.

  • SNES RULES FUCKERS!!

  • question- i playd dk1 and dk2- and im sure, this level music - i could swear, SWEAR its a remix of a song from dk1, of similar- any ideas? i finally found it on YT but have wondered for years since playing it on gba

  • @tippership It's a remix of the final boss music from DKC - the level was called Gangplank Galleon, which is also the name of the region where this plays in DK Land, DKC2, and DKL2.

  • I think of drunken pirates stumbling around from 0:00 to 0:17

  • I grew up on this song. When was 6 I would always go back to the first stage to hear this jam.

  • bad quality,good music

  • I played the first Donkey Kong land when I was a kid, and was completely syched when my dad bought me DKL2. When I first popped it in and heard this song...this game became an instant favorite, and its good to hear this song again. I was like YES Diddy Kong is BACK!

  • I always used to go back to this level to stock up on those hearts if ever I was low, probably from trying to complete slime climb!!!!

  • i knw wht yu mean ive still got my cartridge and gameboy color still an instant classic tht they dont make abymore nowadays !!!

  • the theme to the first level of my first game. memories!

  • made me dance again like a kid again.

the most funny music is those when u lose, o fuck so many laughs

  • Cranky would say now: "Darn kids, what do you know about a good game? Back in my days, we only had one screen tha was 3,9 inches tall, two buttons for actions, and one little speaker. No fancy touchscreen, none of that internet-connection thing, and I tell you something: We had more fun than you spoiled kids ever will have with that DSi-Nonsense. All they do today is making a remake of an old game and change it slightly so it looks different!"

God, I've become a Cranky now.

  • And you are totally right.

Is that now a good thing or a bad thing?

  • That's... ehm, I don't know, to be honest.

  • Good thing. I feel bad for my little cousins... UNLESS I TEACH THEM ABOUT DONKEY KONG. You think this game is hard? TRY DONKEY KONG LAND 2! Freaking sweet game. Diddy is cool, Diddy is everybody's homie, if you have a SNES or a GB, Diddy is and will always be our homie. Bringing Dixie over for a fun fight, I miss those monkeys, where are they :(

  • I know ay, I'm 14 and all is I see now is little kids with their DSes. I have a DS but I still have a gameboy :D gameboy and sega were my first consoles and I had heaps of old games and they were heaps fun, most of the new games aren't that great. I even love playing an arcade once in a while.

  • @augustusgloop1234 yes you have and im basically still a brat (im 17) and the most recent console i have is the snes. x3 and yes, i have dkc1 :3 AWSUMNESS

  • @augustusgloop1234 Who doesn't want to be Cranky? He's AWESOME. He's cocky, a great gamer, crafty as all hell with those DK coins, and he can see into the future with those hints he gives you.

  • @augustusgloop1234 Whats about PS1 like spyro, crash, rayman and others?

  • god microsoft ruins everything dont they

  • Eccola, la musica del primo, mitico, livello di gioco!! Come non amare alla follia un titolo che esordisce in questo modo ? ^^

  • I agree

  • I prefer the GB version of these tunes to the SNES. Just personal taste, but I think the classic nature of the melodies is better suited to chip.

  • It´s charming! I like it, too bad it has some....unpredictable bad parts, that I´d like to replace with the opening of this song!

  • y?

i think the beginning is AWESOME!!!

  • I used to play this level just because of the music.

  • @crimsonslac3 me too! :D the music was awesome

  • @crimsonslac3 Hell yeah, and the fact that you could get life after life made it even more worthwhile...

  • i lik the beginnin !!

    its cute!!

    the rest is exciting!!

  • Why did microsoft hijack rare?! :'(

  • cause microsoft is some sad pussies who think a guy in armor with a gun can kill one cool plumber

  • so... its not like rare dont have the choice not to make anymore classic platforming DK games. they just dont use whats there. the gba ALMOST pulled of the original DKC trilogy, but not quite as good, the DS however is capable, and since microsoft dont have a handheld, rare COULD make a DK game IF im right. IF.

but i doubt thats gonna happen

  • As I know so far, Rare doesn't have the rights for producing DK-Games. They made the DKC-games for Nintendo, yes, but the rights for DK are held by Nintendo.

Rare went to Microsoft - that's the reason, no Donkey Kong-game will be as good as the ones for SNES.

  • this is the best version of ship deck to me!

  • This sounds like Rattle Battle. Too bad that this theme is only used once in the game.

  • Not in the Proper Level, Either.

  • I love this song

  • AWESOME THEME!!!!!!

  • Amazing song! I know there are other versions of this song, without the limitations of Gameboy 'instruments'. So if anyone have them, please message me.

  • Found it. "Snakey Chantey" from the Donkey Kong Country 2 soundtrack.

  • dude i was looking everywhere for this! The old one got removed and im happy someone else uploaded it. The gba one sounds more 8 bit than the super nintendo version of pirate panic, but its still great. Im going to sub right now!
