You've got the best reviews on youtube, man. Always something positive, informative, and constructive to say, with good humour as well. This is next on my list to buy.
@snicholson I was wondering if you could do an instruction video like this one on the game Betrayal at House on the Hill. It looked really interesting to me and am wanting to know more about it.
I don't even LIKE board games lol! Although I was a bit of a Warhammer 40,000 nerd and I might start that up again xD. There's something about your show that I just love and I can't stop watching!
Played it once, loved it and now ordered it, gonna get it in a couple of hours, yay! This is not a one-time game, it is simple but deep and with huge replayability, something you would play throughout the years - at least, so it seems.
I am a little apprehensive about how light the game is but, it solves other issues for me though. The game has an end and there is a way to come back from a beat down. The expansions, particularly Tales and Legends, will add some spice.
Thank you Scott! I actually bought this game (and four others!) based upon your recommendations. Now, I just need to find some people to play with here in frozen Norway! Also, I went to the Days of Wonder website, and unfortunately they do not sell spare parts for this game (only for Ticket to Ride, Memoir '44, and Mystery of the Abby). They will however send missing or damaged parts, but only if you just opened the box.
i where thinking of add my own race on the blank one.
MUNKS
there powers is that when you flipp them in DECLINE they give you 2 points in every teretory you have, but they dont have anny defence in decline (so its only the basic land cost of 2 to conquer them)
Just wanted to clarify one thing Scott: On your 2nd turn, and thereafter, before beginning your conquest(s), you don't have to leave 1 race token in the regions you conquered in your previous turns. You can abandon previous regions (1 or many), and use those tokens for new conquests. note: if you abandon ALL previous regions, then you have to enter the board like it's your first turn. Cheers!
Scott, you are awesome! Thank you for your videos. In particular, the episodes on Puerto Rico and Agricola have helped me a great deal. One question about Small World: you imply that a player's new race can enter the board adjacent to the declined race. Is that right?
Regarding the comment in the very beggining about the unwanted event of losing one of the game race tokens, it would be great if board game companies had a mail delivery system that allowed you to buy small sets of replacement tokens.
Scott, thank you for another great review. Keep the good work up!
When you do that, you are attacking them! If there are opposing pieces, then you pay 1 for each opposing tile there (in addition to your normal cost), and kill them all but one. The other person then has to put the survivor somewhere where they already are.
so i have a question, on the first conquest of the first player, he comes in on the corner of the map, can the other player come in on the same place and take them out?

I saw this game at the store yesterday and thought I would look at a review before buying it. Your video has helped me decide to go buy it!

Have you ever thought of taking a look at Heroscape? I have yet to see someone with a boardgame v-blog talk about Heroscape or even bother with it.
TimmyTheNerd 1 year ago
@TimmyTheNerd I did that back in 2006! Check Episode 5.
snicholson 1 year ago
@TimmyTheNerd The Dicetower here on Youtube also has an extensive review of Heroscape.

Hi Scott! tnx for a nice review. There are now some expansions available.
Grand Dames, Curse, and Community´s compendium 1 & 2
Have you tried any of them? Do you think they make the game better?
jagjagjag009 1 year ago
@jagjagjag009 I haven't had a chance to try the expansions yet.

@Kadasoyio
Some companies have such a system. Or at least FFG customer service can send you replacement bits if you need some.
BlackAssasin 1 year ago
@Kadasoyio Or just included extras, similarly to Ticket to Ride.

another question, do you have to place all your pieces or can you save some to reinforce some of your territories?
supercatjesse 2 years ago
You place them all, but you don't have to use any of them to fight with. You can leave behind whatever you'd like.
snicholson 2 years ago
SWEET THANKS BUT ONE MORE THING, can i enter in from the same place as my oppenent... sorry for all these questions im just kinda confused.

Thanks for all these reviews, I'm getting into more complex board games myself, so these reviews help me a lot!
