I did this climb a couple of months ago...and seeing this video makes me remember the day I did it...both scared shitless but beyond happy that I finished the whole trek. When I get back to Sydney next year, I'll be sure to do it again.
im 13 and i go to australia every year cause my moms boyfriend is from there. last year was my first time going and it was amazing, so im soooo excited to go back. we are leaving on the 24th of july so its comming up. im planning on doing this so im getting super excited and hyped up for the bridge climb!
Ive done the bridgeclimb and its a great experience you must try.only thing is they have another version of this playing as your waiting which is beyond cheesy.all fast motion smiles and high fives which looks crap.what would help better is if they actually had real ordinary people talking about it.
I would like to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge but I wont do it. For me, I have to have my camera with me. If its too dangerous to have my camera with me its maybe too dangerous to do it after all. Thats just too bad!
@intrepid2010 you can't take your camera because you might drop it on the cars below. everything has to be strapped on. you can't even wear hair clips in your hair, but it is all very safe.
Does anybody know how much it is? I'd like to do this on my first trip to Sydney!!! But I'm just a poor student from Germany...so am I able to do this???
in fact you can not bring anything onto the bridge in case something would fall on the cars crossing the bridge. At the end you will have a certificate and one picture of you and the group you climbed with. Some pictures of you will be taken but you'll have to pay if you want to get them at the end of the tour.
Heh. I did this yesterday with school, and it was absolutely amazing. It isn't scary at all. The worst part was when a boat or w/e blasted its horn :P.
When your up there your very exposed to the elements, even on a sunny day it can be quiet windy and when your up there for such a long time it can get quite cold. I have been on the walk and its amazing, you dont really mind the stupid suit :)
I would love to do this!!! It's too bad that Cincinnati got rid of the Purple People Bridge climb that we used to have.

Climbed the old "Coathanger" in 2003 and was 1 of the best days of my life!! Going back in Nov this year and gonna do it again.... because I can !!
it was 75GBP then and I think its 100GBP now.
It seems a lot of money, and it is.... but you aren't gonna travel to the other side of the globe and NOT do it are Ya?
Live it !

I did it 5 days ago. It cost 189 AUD to climb (around 120 euros)
alainwalter 3 years ago
Thank you so much!!! It's a bit expensive but I think it's fantatic, isn't it??? I'll find out soon!
kangaroo1990 3 years ago
it's quite nice but expensive. If you're under 16 they'll chare you "only" 119 AUD. and you can not bring your camera with you!
alainwalter 3 years ago
damn! no chance to take a picture?!!! and I'm over 16 so i've to pay the whole prize. I'll think again whether I'll do this!
