I love how he says strength and dex aren't that important earlier on and then he can't wield the spear he wanted so bad. I knew that was gonna bite him in the ass lol. In short. Level up dex and strength moderately. Research what stats you'll need but more so only focus on one. Either strength or dex.

You have no rings on. You haven't upgraded your starting armor. You haven't even shown the spots where people can GET upgrades. I know this sounds like trolling but it's really not. But I mean this feels more like a psuedo speed run than a walkthrough.Guys, if you haven't played this game yet, this is not the full extent of the game, maybe 50% at max. There is so much more to do and find though, story to unravel, places to explore.

This isn't intended to be a walkthrough though, and my Let's Plays have always been focused on entertaining moreso than education. I encourage those interested in the game to play it themselves (even encouraging prospective players to avoid watching this at the start of the LP so they avoid spoiling the game for themselves), and I constantly recommend other users' content within the videos.

So, here's what I'll say....this is a good walkthrough for players that merely want to complete the game as quickly and with as little frustration as possible. But to be frank, you attack the game with little confidence or guts. I mean, you died to a balder knight after 1-shotting Iron Golem. You omitted major portions of the game from fear of difficulty/player invasion. Dark Souls is punishing and people who haven't played yet are looking up to you. Don't show them how to play like Cowards bro.

You don't have to hit a chest to check for a mimic there is a chain on the left of it that if it's curved towards you it's a mimic but it's turned aways it's just a chest

You're recording live commentary (Correct me if I'm wrong), and how are you doing that? MY boyfriend said you can't record both commentary and music from the game with that. The hardest effing place in all of Sen's Fortress for me was that first guillotine bridge. After that, I found that while the guillotines get more dense, they're actually EASIER to dash through.

Then I realized that I was just playing part of Demon's Souls' "Boletaria Palace" backwards, and I knew exactly where I was going. ~.o

May I just say that I am very glad your not playing this game blind. You appear to be hung up on the fact that some people don't like it, but the fact that you know what your doing and where your going just cuts so much of the mind numbing drag of watching people run around like a chicken with their head cut off that it's worth losing some of the hilarious deaths. There is a way to know if the chest is a mimic or not: look at the chain on the right of the chest. If it is straight and towards you, it is a mimic. If it is pointing behind the chest, it is a real chest.

If the chain on the right side of the chest is a half circle, its a normal chest. If its sprawled out, its a mimic. Just a tip if you didn't know.

Just another tip to those who may not know - if you don't want to mess with a chest that you know is a mimic you can toss a lloyd's talisman on it and open safely!

"Strength: Unless you are going for a Strength-based damage build, your strength should always be as low as possible while allowing you to equip your favorite variety of weapons."

Hopefully that puts the debate of should he or shouldn't he to rest on that subject.

@Northernlion Do you know that you can attack while blocking with the lightning spear (or any spear)? It is a huge advantage because you can remain in cover while dealing damage.

you can get the serpent ring in sens fortress which will raise item find by 300, also that heavy knight respawns, hes not a black knight though so he wont drop black knight items. on top of that, if you have sif's soul, you can upgrade the tower shield into artorias' greatshield, which is amazing. also you can continue blocking while attacking with the lightening spear, you dont need to drop your defense to attack.

@CombatSoul Specifically speaking, the Master Key usually only opens locked doors between the regions, like the one between New Londo Ruins and Valley of Drakes. With the only exception (that I know of so far) being Firelink Shrine's passage to the Depths. (Because you should obviously be going to Undead Burg before then, and it doubling as the Residence Key compensates for that.)

I use ricards rapier a lot because of its nice move set for a rapier, its power attacks are fats, and multiple stabs, fun to use but not if your a strength build like me
