Nie wiem w których momentach brzmi jak Callas bo...jakoś nie znalałem takiego momentu...Jednak Angela Gheorghiu pozostaje bezkonkurencyjna wokalnie jak również aktorsko,ale to moje zdanie.

One of the things I miss from the opera of years past is the big costumes and stage scenery more in line with the music of that era. I know the costs are too high to do so in today's stage., but the modern stage and costumes just don't work with the beautiful music for me.

I'd already heard Kurzak and like her immensely but this is my first time to see/hear Dobber. What an interesting singer he is with a unique stage presence. Somehow I feel that the world is in good shape when we have continuing artistic expression at this high level. Realistically, the world's in bad shape but being able to enjoy brief interludes of great music with intense artists makes it all bearable.
