finally saw this movie tonight--unbelievable--i'll watchi it tomorrow--i'm triying to find the soundtrack if it even exists--the music is definately pre trip hop. kickass.
@dafullclip its called remaking for american audiences.....they did it with funny games and seven samurai so why not these ones? Kill Bill was a kid version of lady snowblood but it was a pretty entertaining kid version.
@thefriendsociety I feel you, but at least with the first two films that you mentioned the original creators were noted for their influences by the directors that were inspired by them! Quention, though I love the guy , acts as if all of America is ignorant to the films of the east and in that way feels that he can capitalize on an idea, Americanize it and make it his own thereby insulting the intelligence of not only the makers of said film but also fans of his and said film.
I know what you mean. Some people are just too ignorant of foreign masterpieces and need someone to spoonfeed it to them but im alright with that since it doesnt concern me. But it is absolutely detestable how people consider Quention a genius who made something original while being completely clueless the hard work gone into the original.
He created something interesting and enjoyable, great ! but the credits are due somewhere else.
@radicalhit Thanks for having my back radicalhit! American movies are all becoming too "Politically Correct" or cliche. Its nice to know that I'm not the only one that feels that way!
@dafullclip I don't think hes a genius for the film reservoir dogs but whoever the script (the dialogue) to that movie is a genius. The dialogue and the music of that movie is what you remember. I'm a fan of both these films. The action in this movie is way more awesome, but the characters are more alive and vibrant and colorful in reservoir dogs...I mean really...can you tell me anybody cooler then Mr.Blonde or Joe....
@thefriendsociety a number of steve mcqueen, humphry bogart, marcello mastroiani, alain delon, vyes montand, bruce lee characters are cooler than qt's characters or actors.

@Devilsblood This is the movie that Quentin Tarantino RIPPED OFF.
Seriously, 'City on Fire' fucking shits all over 'Reservoir Dogs.'

@TetraVaalBioSecurity his film was an obvious homage

@RubMyCookies Which is why he denied seeing 'City on Fire' when pressed about it in interviews.
