i actually got rid of my g1 to get the unlocked 3g but yes when i did have the g1 it did feal cheap and heavy and like if i dropped ot it would shatter into peices that was one of the reasons i swithched to the software unlocked 3g

i think it was just my camera or some sort of glare that prvented you from seeing the backlight on it but it works fine
