I made a no weld grinder just like your 2x72. Instead of going for the cheap HF 1/2 belt grinder I am going to get a 1/2 and 1 inch attachment for my NWG. You have to buy the holder too but it seems worth it to me.

@boredism07 how do you forge the handle? he is grinding the handle material..

@carolinadare i usually just leave them as a full steel construction, twisted steel handle for grip and strength. but if i make one out of wood i use my general craftsmanship knife to split a block, and shape it. then i use a file and sandpaper to smooth it all down and to take care of all of the finer work

Seems like a round-about way to do things - that's what different wheel and platen attachments are for - you can have different sized wheels for your platen attachment, so that you can rotate it forwards or backwards to access differently radiused wheels...
