  • That's a very impressive video, the best 'amateur' Star Trek spacebattle I ever seen.

But, Romulan vessels aren't that big aren't they? I remember the epic spacebattles fought in DS9, but Romulan warbids are mostly equal or somewhat less the size of a galaxy class.

  • @Snowwie88 The Romulan Warbird, otherwise known as D'deridex class is more or less 1100 meters long. Galaxy class 640 meters long. And pretty much the same scale with beam and height.

  • hey wondering if your still making part 2 of the final stand?? keep looking, waiting, and hoping that your still making part 2.. let us know.. Thanks!!

  • sorry i like ur vid but for future the galaxy can't fire that much torpedoes use the nebula class and nice vid

  • @borgCube100 agree galaxy can fire 10 torpedoes from each launcher max then they need to reload.

  • Do continue! Awesome video!

  • WOW AWESOME

  • nice job but to dark

  • Very good vid!!

Is the shield effect post work or programmed in 3d?

  • Nice camera work! Well done. But check your text at the beginning! I think you're missing something.

  • It's too dark. I can barely see the Romulans.

  • You may want to make the imagesmore sharper. It looks a bit blury

  • 2:17 Captain of excelsior- WARP 1 ANY HEADING ENGAGE!!!!!!! ENGAGE DAMNIT NOT FIRE!!!!!!

  • I really love this!!!!! kudos

  • Very nice. Was class was that big Romulan ship? A D'Kazinak class? Or maybe the same type as the Valdore?

  • Awesome. You have talent.

  • A little low res and way too dark....but it rocks anyway! I geeked out at the torpedo barrage from the Galaxy and the Miranda! Hell yeah!

  • nice.. really It could very well be put into TNG and nobody would notice difference

  • 0:47 so many torpedoes

  • the lighting needs work, it was too hard to see some of the ships

  • a little wonder: the Miranda lived longer than the Excelsior ^^

  • That's fantastic

  • This video was freaking awesome!!!!!!!!!!

When is part 2 coming? It will come?

  • Great job! cant wait for the next one

  • it's too bad we couldn't see the federation and the romulans fight a war on screen.

  • nice! i just love romulan tng style ships and those attack ships are cool too

  • I say keep going. dont end it here. talk to fellow trekkies, and film another, where starships captains verses tons of borg fleets in certain areas.

  • at like 1:57 you can see throught the ship and see whats going on under it

  • @Penawen

No, just an illusion... there appear to be some very small fighter craft in addition to the huge mega-warbird, ships both much smaller and much larger than anything in the actual series. As many as three and perhaps even four different scales on the screen at a time.

  • @brian651msp oh i see what happened the small ship went over the federation ship and shot backwards at it

  • my good it´s terrfic , alwasome i hope you continue very quickly jojo thanks for upload

  • Awesomeness, nice touch with the Kerchan's arrival. I think I heard the Narada's hum lol

  • I Finally bought a new hard drive 2TB, (not going to run out of space for a while) and the part 2 is underway. gonna take a while though.

  • @Zcontinuum now this is real star trek action the way it SHOULD be and should have been all those years ago during the time of the Gene Rodenberry era heheh anyways awsome blend Zcontinuum ^_^

1 added subscription from me 8D

  • @Zcontinuum Sweet. Keep us posted.

  • @Zcontinuum Hey man, I love these vids. Any updates on when Part II might be finished?

  • wooooow!! i this is awesome!!! keep it goin!!!

  • @dabogster :D

  • this is gooooood

  • @filigrant :)

  • Excellent

  • dude how do you do that

  • @CaptainRoyMustang170 Which part? If all, on Vue 6 and F/X on after efects

  • @Zcontinuum all of it

  • YEAAAA!! this is awesome!

  • great job loved it can't wait till part2 but was that the enterprise the registry didn't look like it?

  • Sweet! I love the old Enterprise D! I wish she had survived as I still see her as the definite Next Gen Enterprise! That Enterprise E sucks in my opinion. I wish we could see Kirk's Enterprise fighting in this too! Fantastic stuff, keep up the great work!

  • Thank you guys for the comments, and just to lol clarify the interesting conversation between fps and bigdog, the Galaxy class had fought with other ships (off camera battle) her shields was very weak and couldn't sustain the ship impact lets say 15% just for the sake of it :).

Part two will take a while :( I need to buy a new harddrive because I have ran out. This part 1 was just the intro, the Enterprise and the fleet was going to be the next scene but no hard drive space left. :(

  • @Zcontinuum Yeah, I guess that explains it, but even @ 15% it wouldn't have done that hull damage. Also the phasers look great, but I'll assume the lack of the SDE on the phasers is just a limitation of the software used. One major thing though, ships that size with phasers having an effective range of one light second (300 000KM), just wouldn't be in close formation like fighter squadrons.

  • @Bigdog7867 No, it wouldn't. The amount of energy the shields on a Galaxy class can absorb is far in excess of the kinetic energy contained within the Miranda class @ the horizontal velocity it was traveling. And no, the weight is around twenty thousand tonnes, and would not cause that damage. The Galaxy can absorb dozens of photon torpedo hits (in the peta-joule range), as well as disruptor fire. The kinetic energy in that, which the shields would absorb, is in the mega-joule range.

  • @fpsBeaTt

The Galaxy class ship was the biggest and most powerful Federation ship in this battle. It is only logical to assume that it was a main target for the Romulan ships and that it has been hit by a multitude of weapons during the battle.

Taking this into consideration, a 250 meter long ship would indeed breach any remaining shields and collide with a nacelle.

  • @NightwishRaven999 From what we saw in the battle, the Galaxy had been hit very little or not @ all. In Nemesis, the Sovereign (a heavy cruiser with less shielding than a Galaxy class) only being under impulse power and having being bombarded quite severely up to a point, deflected relatively easily a part of a Romulan Cruiser with more mass and moving faster than the Miranda was shown to be. Also, in an actual battle, starships of that size simply would not be that close to each-other.

  • You dont have to see everything to figure out what happened. During the time we see the other ships fighting, the Galaxy class isnt in a stand-still.

I will not debate with you about the strength of the Galaxy vs the Sovereign, since I have seen others do so, only to be accused of something because they did not agree with your views on the matter. I can imagine how much time it took to make this video. This isnt my video, so who am I to judge what happens in it and how it should have happened ?

  • Very good work! Well done!

  • @startrekking2 Thank you, does the phasers look better on this one?

  • Your new phaser is a lot better than the one of your first battles, but it still needs a bit of improving. The torpedo effect, instead, is perfect, and so is the animation of the starships.

  • @startrekking2 Well I'm happy with it :)

  • Excellent, although kind of annoying how the Miranda class colliding with the Galaxy did so much damage; it just wouldn't have that effect. Also, it appears as though you missed out the SDE of the arrayed phasers. Other than that, very impressive.

  • nice! looking forward to more! =)

  • @thedarkarcon4 more on the way but it's gonna take a while

  • Wow. Very nice effects :)

  • Oh and I just love how the Galaxy class literally unleashes its torpedos on the Warbird at the beginning : )

  • @NightwishRaven999 yup, relentless :)

  • I loved that Excelsior class...too bad it got trashed.

The ending was superb...very unexpected. I am anxious to see what you come up with next : )

    Great work as usual !

  • @NightwishRaven999 Thank you, very much :)

  • Dang, that Excelsior class is awesome, to bad it's for Vue, I need to find a decent Max format.

  • @CJCA915 Thanks :)
