I recently went to the ER with heart attack symptoms (I had my wife drive me in to avoid having to pay for an ambulance). I had to wait over 30 minutes before anyone looked at me. The ER was flooded with welfare drones who came in on a free ambulance ride, with hokey complaints, trying to get free drugs.
This was in addition to the welfare drones with a sniffle who refuse to go to the doctor like the rest of us, but instead wait until after supper or their favorite TV show is over, and go to the ER to get treatment because they're too damn lazy to go to the doctor. For example, in 2002, a Canadian Senate investigative committee recommended legalization/decriminalization of weed. It certainly is no surprise that Peter is beginning to sound more and more like a politician and he still has a ways to go...but he is our sort of politician and we need to help him thru this maze. Those who will take the time to go back several years and watch some of his videos will understand enough to know that his message is a real possibility. It is a big enough event that we need to stop and take a look at it. I just bought a Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe 100 Trill dollar bill off Ebay.

Well Peter, with your knowledge on economics alone, you could make Linda McMahon look stupid. Just show you are not the typical politicians, and make clear you are coming into politics from a different perspective, that of Libertarianism, and Austrian School. Show the real issues. I think by far you are a politician with substance, and will give answers to questions in detail, not just generic talking points. Make history Schiff with what you believe in.

I recently went to the ER with heart attack symptoms (I had my wife drive me in to avoid having to pay for an ambulance). I had to wait over 30 minutes before anyone looked at me. The ER was flooded with welfare drones who came in on a free ambulance ride, with hokey complaints, trying to get free drugs.

Yeah, Peter has said this before himself. But you know, the campaign is nowhere near over with. That's why I donated to the campaign because I want his visilibility to increase. Never underestimate the impact of concerned citizens. I'm not the kind of guy who donates to political campaigns, but I can't afford not to really. I didn't have to have Peter to tell me that. Peter, keep making the distinction that you are a real libertarian, even though, like Ron Paul, you're running as a Republican.
I ran against Rahm Emanuel in 2002 in a 3-way race. I got 4.5%.
In 2004 I ran again in Florida against a neocon. I got 27%.
I ran again in 2006 against the same opponent, this time as a libertarian Democrat, only because the incumbent was a Republican.
I spent only $16,000 vs an incumbent who wasted $1 million. That's 58-1. I got 41% regardless.

I think that if Peter keeps his message up the way he has, the voters will realize that he is NOT like other Republicans. He doesn't have to confuse the issue by saying he is a libertarian because people will get confused and think he is a Libertarian (Party member). He talks about liberty a great deal and speaks out about things like the Patriot act and the Fed. He still has to convince Republicans, mind you, to vote for him. Many of them are liberty-minded, but not Libertarian.

@christo930, I can't speak for eksodos, but people from outside America pay attention to American politics because America's influence is far reaching, and the person elected there has repercussions for other countries. For example, in 2002, a Canadian Senate investigative committee recommended legalization/decriminalization of weed. The U.S. ambassador and drug czar promptly came to Canada and threatened to halt border traffic/trade, and the idea died. You're right though, Dodd sucks large.

I wouldn't mind volunteering for a couple hours each day making phone calls, but is there a system set up for the long distance fees that I would incur? Interstate long distance, especially during the day (which is when I have the time) can get very expensive, ESPECIALLY when you make high numbers of short calls which will certainly be the case.

in california where i went to university, nobody there seems to care or understand much about the state budget. and i talked to a lot of people, both in business and not. you would think the citizens of a state would care if their state is technically bankrupt and handing out IOUs.
so sorry, i don't see any change at all. if there is change, its for the worse and not for the better.
