gameplay-wise, yes. basically plays like every other interactive LD game from the 80's. personally, I found the setting a lot more appealing than the standard fantasy fare of Dragon's Lair. it feels a bit like a over-the-top Mad Max movie. :D
Also, Road Blaster uses Japanese animation illustrated by Toei Animation, instead of the same kind of wacky animation of Don Bluth's interactive movie games.
somehow, the music's riffs remind me of the opening melody to Aerosmith's Simoriah
