number 1 is ok number 2 is hey bulldog number3 is helter skelter 4--and i love here 5--across the universe 6-come together 7-i am the walrus 8-yer blues 9-hey jude 10- i want to hold her hand-- that is realety
beatles had so many great songs its hard to make a top list but my top 20 would be in this order....(1) in my life, let it be, i want to hold your hand, all you need is love, here comes the sun, across the universe, something, cant buy me love, all my loving, revolution, a day in the life, hey jude, yesterday, sgt. peppers lonely hearts club band, strawberry fields forever, please please me, help, i am the walrus, the long and winding road, youve got to hide your love away.
YES!!! Tomorrow Never Knows is my #2!!! Major props to you for that!!! (That totally made this list for me, even if you put some great songs in the 100's :P )
I've listened to Tomorrow Never Knows a few minutes ago, then I went here without seeing song 21-? and i thought about how it would be when Tomorrow Never Knows was the first. And hell!
10) Yellow Submarine 9) Octopusses Garden 8) Magical Mystery Tour 7) Here Comes the Sun 6) Hey Bulldog 5) In the remastered love album by george martin, the mix of Drive My Car, The Word, What Your Doing, Savory Truffle and Taxman. 4) Norwegian Wood 3) Eleanor Rigby 2) Ive Just Seen a Face 1) Nowhere Man Why did u put the 2 Ringo songs at rock bottom? I Wanna Hold Your Hand deserves that spot...
Wow, the most miserable list I have ever seen. For crying outloud dude, how in the name of all that is holy could you put The Inner Light and Within You Without You in the top 20??????????????? Those two songs are probably the worst songs ever written. Please redo this list and omit those two songs..it is an abomination to include those songs!
Very nice choice for number 1! One of my fav. songs. For the dude who says it's all Lennon songs, well, he did write the greater songs, IMO. But everyone's entitled to their own opinion. Great list though!
20 top 10, 12 at top 75. in my life top 30, rain about 120. sorry. #1 not even close maybe top 90. Golden Slumbers/ Carry That Weight/ The End are #1 or at least top 10. also no holly covers. words of love that'll be the day or long tall sally. :( my opinion no offense.
Stop being so critical. One of the brilliant things about the Beatles is that there is so much great material that is is impossible to rank all the songs. Except for ranking revolution 9 over Ob-Li-Di-Ob-La-Da. That was fail
what about that byrds like tunes like if i needed some one, do you like it? I like byrds better than beatles but I dig that one, and I me mine, really good, otherwise im mostley into the hamburg material before ringo was in the beatseat.
My god it is like 18/20 Lennon I'm sorry but I agree with previous posts, they are the Beatles, not Lennon, and you should have considered them all :l
The goal of this series of videos was to rank songs written (or at least credited to) by The Beatles. "Boys," from their album Please Please Me, is a cover song and therefore is not on the list.
Very nice job! While we all have our favorites, I disagree with "Within You Without You" being #12. I was never a fan of George's full blown Indian songs like "Love You Too". I prefer the more subtle "Inner Light".
I feel "Within You Without You" is by far the low point of Sgt Pepper. I believe the album would have been much better if the boys had picked George's "It's All Too Much" instead, which was ready to go for Sgt Pepper in1967.
But great job on the video, and thank you for posting!
sorry... but is anyone else noticing that let it be, hello goodbye, love me do, and other good songs are ranked CLOSE TO 100! THAT IS MESSED UP! #1 should be like #55, but I understand that its very hard to choose a number one. that just isn't what I would choose.
The Beatles are my favorite band. I remember watching them on Ed Sullivan. My top 10 are nowhere near these ones, but that's OK to each his own. Why don't you let everyone pick there top 10 and see how the voting go's.
Strawberry fields forever est 100 fois mieux que Tomorrow never knows . In my life devrait etre 2ème , et en 3ème et 4ème je placerais Real Love et Free as A Bird .
I (unfortunately) do not speak French. I believe, however, you are saying that "Strawberry Fields Forever" is 100 times better than "Tomorrow Never Knows" and that 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place should be "In My Life," "Real Love," and "Free As a Bird." If anyone out there can translate this better, please do me the favor.
Strawberry Fields Forever is 100 times better than Tomorrow Never Knows. In My Life is second, and 3rd and 4th i would put Real Love and Free as a Bird. I'm only in French 2, so this is the best i can do.
hey man, fellow beatles enthusist(whoops! i dont know how to spell that) where do you rank across the universe? i dont really have the attention span to watch all of the videos to find it so im taking the lazy way out...please comment back
I was only ranking songs written by The Beatles. "Please Mr. Postman" is simply The Beatles' cover of a song; it wasn't written by them. I will say this: I'd put it as their second best cover (behind "Twist and Shout").
Ugh what an awful number 1. I hated that song, it wouldn't even be in my top 200. The songs that deserved number 1 are A Day in the Life, Dig a Pony, Get Back, Come Together, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Blackbird, Something, While my guitar gently weeps and so much more.
A ranking of the Beatles' albums would be great. Mine are: 1 - Revolver 2 - Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 3 - Abbey Road 4 - Rubber Soul 5 - Let it Be (Underrated if you ask me) 6 - The Beatles (White Album) 7 - Help! 8 - Magical Mystery Tour 9 - A Hard Day's Night 10 - Please Please Me 11 - With the Beatles
Within you without you is great, I didn't know anyone else thought so. But Tomorrow Never Knows is pretty hard to get away with. Is it REALLY better or more influential than Revolution or A Day in the Life?
Besides number 12 and 15 which are both George songs the top 16 are all John songs.

switch "A Day in the Life" and "Tomorrow Never Knows" so it ranks: 3. Tomorrow Never Knows 2. Strawberry Fields 1. A Day in the Life
Though "Tomorrow Never Knows" is great, not as good or influential as "A Day in the Life"

I'm a bit disgusted.
You're way too much Lennon-oriented...
And this Top 20 demonstrates that.
In 20 songs, 16 and a half (Considering A Day In The Life a fifty-fifty Lennon-McCartney collaboration) are written by John.
You're obviously too much influenced by John and not so objective and impartial
Uetti 2 years ago
I will admit that it's Lennon-oriented. I find Lennon's songs better. I can 'identify' with his lyrics more than I can identify with Paul's lyrics.
