Great game, but there are some things i just hate....like that Helicopters explode all the time, if they hit the ground hard, that you cant land planes without the Landing-Gear, i hate the Bugs, that still occur quite often, and i would like if you could choose the armament of the Things in the Editor more precicely...like having the coice to arm each weapon separatly

I'm a new player in Arma 2 and I can't believe how deep this game is. One thing that some people are unfamiliar with Arma 2 is that the massive map is being played in realtime. In other words, while you are in one area of the map your friendly troops are fighting 200km away in another front and you can radio them orders in realtime. Heck, even bullets are tracked through out the map. The complexity of the mechanics of gameplay and dynamic A.I. is something I have never seen in a game.

Kinda sucks how none of the planes in ArmA 2 (at least the US ones) are really loaded out for dogfighting, carrying only two air-to-air missiles. Of course, that's what we have god ol' fashion guns for.

Though planes are a bit difficult to fly with a mouse and keyboard- I need to find my old joystick.

VIDEO CARD: nvidia geforce 8800gt or equivalent

OS: XP/Vista/Windows 7

If you are looking for Battlefield like game then you really shouldn't go for Arma. You will only lose your nerves and get dissapointed.

Arma is one hell of a combat simulator, I love it, but it just isn't ment for casual players. Bunch of people called Arma a bad game. That is because Arma actually takes time to learn and has actual learning curve. Once you understand what is capable of, you get blown away!

the jets cant go supersonic although the plane he shot down in the first shot can go over 800 somethings per something probably kilometers per hour. the planes are easy to fly

Yes you can go supersonic, top speed varies to the jet.

difficulty is pretty high, definetly not an arcade control style.

You need to lock on. The MKs don't have a propellent. So you need to drop them from a high altitude and greater distance so that you are at about a 45 degree angle away from the target.
