The only thing you've "proven" is that depending on where you live and where you go, this is known differently in different places. Look at the post from CRUXSHADE and you'll see that he/she calls it goth/electro. The places where I've been, call this EBM. Yeah, I've heard the "darkwave", "goth", "electro/dance", and other monikers associated to this. You (and they) can sit and argue as to which but, people will label it what they wish and I've always heard of this as EBM.

Go to a "goth" club that plays The Cure and The Sisters Of Mercy, although these bands are notorious for saying they're not goth, to most people they are, and will always be associated to the goth label no matter what THEY call themselves... So they can call themselves what they want, it doesn't mean people will see them as that...
