  • @lorettamg I know. I tried everything. I gave mine away.

  • after a whole month of leaky diapers (gdiapers) i could not keep using these. during my son's (3months) 3am feeding/diaper change i also had to change his clothes and sheets. not fun. i'm glad they work for some, but not for us.

  • I also have issues with the g falling off, but I think it is from the dryer heat being to high. But still upsetting that now I have like 3diapers without g's on the them :( Also I have the same issue with the button's leaving marks on my DD.. Her diaper will sit underneath her belly button and I still have that issue.. I am actually considering selling them bc of this :( Glad I am not the only one

  • Hi! Thanks for the video! I have used gDiapers for 2 years now in combination with other diapers but I never had the problem with the g falling off. I use 7th generation detergent. I contact them once and even the owner emailed me to thank me...but I guess I didn't call with a complain... The only thing I wish and I think they may have change is the elastic. I think it should be padded to make it more comfortable. Thank you for the tip!

  • thank you sooo much for this video...... I am really really new in all this cloth diaper thing , and really thinking about changing to cloth diapers for this baby to come.......but I would really like to know what you do recommend , for comfort . quality and all , i was thinking about going to Gro via diapers but i hate how they do look inside the diapers .... please let me know.

  • Have you updated your post yet?

  • Cloth diapers are GOING TO BE THICKER than disposables. More cloth = more bulge = more absorbency.

    Quit complaining.

  • maybe sew in tiny flaps of fabric to cover them?

  • I have noticed these (and one more) problems myself. For the snaps, I have sewn a small piece of moleskin fabric (like a flap) to cover the snaps. when I wash the gdiapers, I adhere the velcro to itself (but not so it's folded up...I fold it back over onto the same part so that the hook part isn't exposed.) I have found that this helps to preserve the velcro. My "g" hasn't fallen off and I've watched and dried mine quite a bit. I've heard sun-drying the liners is supposed to help???.idk...

  • okay. so the G's fall off on me too.....but after like a wash or two. kinda upset about that. but oh well. i heard they can be iron'd back on? havent tried that. also we use the premium prefolds 15-30lbs in the med-large. we fold them long ways, and then just tuck down the top or bottom (for boy or girl) and put them in that way...not too hard. about the snaps on the body - not a big deal IMO, we get little imprints from out jeans buttons, undies, bras, etc.......and it doesnt hurt us.

  • My problem with the g is that the snap bothers my baby and the velcro is useless after a few washes. I do love the fit and the disposable inserts for traveling. I am currently using the inserts with bummies whisper cover. It works much better than the g cover.

  • I just got rid of all my gdiaper collectionb...I had gpants 18 cloth inserts, also paper ones...I didn't like it at all, my baby use to feel wet all the time, especially wear the legs r...even if he had it on for a little while it would smell funky...and of cours the liners stain like crazy....

  • Hi, I am using gDiapers with gerber organic prefolds. Its been working pretty well for me so far. I use a fleece liner to keep my baby sort of dry. Regarding the stains on the snap liners, one solution that has worked for me is sun drying. An hour or two in the sun gets the stains out like magic. Hope it works for you too.

  • To be honest I had the same problem with the G's at first... I learned that the prefold was too big, that may be the reason you are experienceing this problem... I use a smaller sized unbleached chinese prefoald and have never had that problem again. As for the Gcloth inserts... saave your money they are really not worth the money. The pre folds are waaaay cheaper and work well as long as you get the right size...

  • Fold the pre fold the long way, like you did when it bunches, but then fold the front, or back depending on whether you have a boy or girl, down and it wont bunch. Plus you then have more absorbency where you need it most!

  • Oh, and as a side note, trust me, breastfed poop is about 100000x easier to clean up. I breastfed my son for the first couple of months until we found he had liver problems and can't digest my milk by it's self, had to fortify, and then sadly dried up. I miss those days, especially since his poop was a lot easier to clean. Formula poop is stickier and just really hard to get off. Nothing like solid food poop.

  • When I do it like that, it doesn't bunch up and it kinda still curves a little bit. Not as much as what the disposable liners did (my friend gave me one to try), but I don't normally have a problem, and he's a heavy wetter! I also cut out little fleece liners to pull the wetness away from him, and that has worked well. My liners stain real bad too, but it doesn't really bother me too much.

  • I'm not sure what to tell you about the snaps, I haven't encountered that problem. But I use Gerber prefolds in mine too. My son is still in smalls, but I've noticed I can't use the prefolds that have that polyester foam pad in the middle. I couldn't tell if that was it or not. It just gets bulky and such. I just fold them in thirds (how you had it at first), and then fold down the top as far as I need it.

  • i have G diapers they are a really bad diaper, they leak, stain and the insert are even worse, but they are cute, untill you use them

  • thanks for your tips! : ) what to do about the back ones?

  • 3.) THE CLOTH INSERT BULGES. That's because you're trying to make the liner lay flat. Hold it in a U-shape (the way it fits on baby) and it won't bulge in the middle. The inserts are supposed to be longer than the liner, so that it forces the diaper to curve. The flushable inserts, as well as the cotton inserts made by Kidalog, are stiff enough to maintain this curvature, so the inserts don't bulge or bunch up. (Gerber prefolds and even gCloth inserts are too flimsy.)

  • i actually cut them and sewed fleece on one side and just made an insert from those same prefolds. I hate the imprints it leaves too!!

  • Thank you for the tip you should make vid so we can see please! :" )

  • try folding the top down before you fold it into thirds, thats how they do it in all the other vids ive watched

  • Thank you for the tip ! : )
