Guitar Pro 5 is a paid program, but you can get a knockoff version called TuxGuitar for free. It has most of the same features as Guitar Pro 5, just lacks a few, such as RSE
Ya I was gonna say the same, bring bass up, lower hi.... what do you have your mid freq, distortion, and level on? right now im using about 30% level, 45% bass, 25-30% treble, half mids, about 55% on mid freq and half distrotion... that is all roughly but I think it sounds pretty good and can always EQ to sound better...
also have my lvl around 2 on amp and bass around 2 and treble 3, seems to be pretty sensitive and just record with the lineout... do you record with lineout or microphone?
I think I was using about 80% treble, 20% mid, 40% bass, with almost max distortion, 50% level. I've messed with the it all quite a bit today, and I think I've found a better sound with about 70% treble, 50% mid, 50% bass, 70% level, and 80% distortion. I will probably upload another guitar sample sometime this week.
What is your mid freq at on the pedal? I don't like too much treb personally but every amp is different.... also depends on your amp settings if you are using lineout or something...
Ya if you arent using direct input the settins wont make too much of a difference unless you have a really good mic. You can EQ by either filtering it, but it's probably easier to use the built-in EQ most programs should have. Just depends on how good you want your shit to sound... personally I don't care how bad it sounds so llong as it doesn't kill my ears and can still turn it up loud w/o having lots of noise and whatnot...
Well.. do you have line out on your amp? You can prob use your soundcard if you can find a way to connect it (might need a converter).
The best way probably though is to get some sort of recording interface. I got an M-AUDIO Delta 1010LT because it has many different inputs, but it shouldn't matter unless you plan on recording a whole band or drums.
Yeah I see what you mean. Although in a final recording, it may sound a bit more "full", because there is no bass in this, and only 1 guitar track. But I will bring out the mid and low more
Nice

It was about in the middle. Although I bet the biggest tone issue is just due to my crappy mic

nice one but too much treble try increasing the mid and the base and lower the high a little until u feel the pms r a little stronger !
TarekSolidSnake 2 years ago
Pms?
Blashyrkh22 2 years ago
think he meant palm mute...
xdyingfetusx69 2 years ago

It sounds good, I totally thought it was a program sound not a real guitar! Lol, the drums are a machine though, right?
TheIronEagle14 2 years ago
Haha yeah. The guitar is real, but drums are programmed

The guitar sound is ripping off my ears dude... too much high tone... bring the mid and the low more in the front and low down the high one...

I'll re-record soon with a bass guitar as well. The high treble could also be due to the crappy mic. I got it for about 8 bucks a few years ago haha
