I have a Theory that your brain feeds on hair pigment, The bigger and smarter your brain the more pigment it needs to sustain its self, This is why you see people like Albert Einstein, Richard Dawkins, and Dr. Michio Kaku with long white hair....
Basically put, what came first.... the Big Bang, which brought forth a universe with order which coincidentally created Math that defined it... or the Math, which was used to create an orderly Universe...
there MAY be a god, but not the christian god, nor Allah from the muslim world. because our planet is not 6.000 years old, and i believe a perfect being would not get that fact wrong. i also dont believe a perfect being, that created everything would make sure thousands of kids gets raped everyday, neither would he let millions starve to death each day. i dont like rape, nor children being hurt, therefor an Atheist, and PROUD to believe in the speed of light
It seems... from our point of view, God is still evolving. However, from relativity and (the still unconnected) quantum aspects, God has always been. That's why it is possible for us to evolve over time and IS why we have ALL the resources (seemingly magically) given to us to do so. But first, we have to use machines (in a resource based economy) to overcome machine made collapse within our global debt based economy of today...
i think we all can agree that it is completly fine if someone believs in a "God" like thing.....but i thin we all agree if we say that everyone who believs in the "God" of the bible or kuran is kinda stupid......
@Blademastell kinda stupid? Martin Luther King Jr believed in a biblical God, so did Ghandi, so did mother Teresa..so did tons of people. funny bit, i don't even believe in a God forged by religion, that is something that has to be either experienced or come to the individual themselves. Generalizing and saying "is kinda stupid" kinda makes you look stupid.
People have their set of beliefs, either you agree/disagree with them, calling people stupid is kinda ignorant.
Fact is, the thing's we question about can not be proven at all, from a human standpoint. These question's will alway's remain the biggest mystery of all life throughout time. Alot of people choose to believe in the kind of god that is told throughout the centuries, alot of other's believe that thing's need some form of evidence to it, whether it be small or big. Religion gives people the answer they want, if that makes them happy and content with who they are, then what is the problem?
God Is the First and the Last and the Beginning and the End! He Is Who Was and Is to Come!! There is no other GOD but HIM!! Mighty is His the works of His hands and He is in control of everything in the universe! Man answers to the Living God. God does not sleep! I can list a lifetime of His works in my life from little things to major works....and He can answer a prayer to the smallest letter...why? Because HE CAN!! An answered prayer in great detail leaves no room for doubt that it was HIM!!
I Believe in the Living God because He has walked with me my entire life and lives in me. Though I may disappoint Him and not live up to how He wants me to live all the time. The fact is He has never left me for a second and He has never let me down. I may have let Him down many times and He has yet remained by my side. Why? Because His presence in my life is His choice to call me His own and as His own...God keeps those that belong to Him! No one can remove from God's hands..those that are His!
Some people think God is an outsized, white male with a long white beard, sitting on a throne somewhere in the sky, tallying the fall of every sparrow. Others—Baruch Spinoza and Albert Einstein—considered God to be essentially the sum total of the physical laws which describe the universe. I dont know of any compelling evidence for anthropomorphic patriarchs controlling human destiny from some hidden celestial vantage point, but it would be madness to deny the existence of physical laws.- SAGAN
@motruk4 I disagree, I think your just redefining god. "God" implies an intelligence, laws are not intelligent, they are constants. It seems to me that calling "the sum total laws of physical laws" god is misleading, it's like calling math Jesus. Furthermore, it has been argued that Einstein was an Atheist, but it seems most likely to me that he would have called himself an Agnostic or perhaps a Deist today.
Nietzsche said there are no truths just interpretations of truth. No man (or woman) is immune from corruptibility, be it in the field of religion, politics, business, science, education, medecine or any other human endeavour. Being absolutely sure, certain, and convinced of something and closing the door to debate about those beliefs is in my opinion a pitfall, and a sign of obstinate arrogance that cannot lead to anything good.
@Cifrocco Niezsche can say whatever he chooses, but it'll never CHANGE the truth, regardless what you HOPE for. In reality, the man was looking in all the wrong places if he wanted to know what the truth is. What appears as obstinate arrogance is the perception in your head, when someone knows what you don't.
If you want to know what the truth is, you've gotta' do it for yourself. I'm not here to save your butt, but to tell you what the truth is.
Sadly, the definition of skepticism in recent times has become synonymous with disbelief in anything spiritual or religious and especially disbelief in God (atheism). For myself, I apply skepticism to _everything_ including science and the scientific method, but also politics, corporations, education, etc. This is what it means to be a true critical thinker, a free-thinker. not just using logic to debunk religious dogma, but to scrutinize _everything_.
@Cifrocco Happily, I know that God is real & I'm not one. The Divine Reality is the Deity, & I thank Allah for giving me life. The Infinite Reality that transcends both space & time, the Creator of everything, & nothing at all also. Of that you can be sure of.
The Surahs of the Noble Qur'an can help you to understand, if you have an open mind & can read between the lines. It's a struggle of mindsets all over the world, those who seek profits & those who would choose to follow the prophets.
@666or999 YOUR RIGHT , BUT WE ARE BOTH THEORIZING . TO SUM UP A FINAL ANSWER IS BEYOND ALL THEORY , LET'S JUST THANK EACH OTHER FOR HAVING THE ABILITY TO ASK SUCH QUESTIONS .
There is nothing wrong with someone having faith or being spiritual. Humans have free will, so how can one say to believe in something is wrong?
Just as some say there is no God, others choose to believe there is. I just wish people could understand that it doesn't always mean the other party is a bunch of pushy cynicists or an ignorant brainwashed herd of sheep.
Man has been spiritual since the dawn of time, and I think we all ought to just live in harmony and mutual respect. Why not?
@BenderPictures Respect to you man, how does one belief affect anther's lifestyle? Trying to convince someone their belief is wrong is the same as they feel they were brainwashed to begin with. Let the individual believe in whatever they feel is right, that's a human obligation IMO!
but are we not biased to say our universe is beautiful, if there was a creature from outside our universe would there not be the possibility of them seeing it as chaotic, and scary?
In reality the truth can be summed up in a statement, if what you want is to be free. All you've gotta' do is take responsibility for what all you think & everything you do. One takes place within the mind, & your actions take place in time. If you take the time to think it through, you may understand what I mean.
God is the Divine Reality that transcends both space & time,
The Creator of the seen & unseen, that noting can compare too.
In my mind God is Reason, while Stephen is Hawking Nothing.
@cm3007235 In reality, I could ask you why you believe that there's not, but the truth is that I don't need to do that. What needs to be done, is understand the meaning of the word, and come to a common definition.
Stephen is Hawking "Nothing" as the reason for the beginning. In his head "nothing" is a place where space & time don't exist, but isn't that eternity? The place where God resides? A rose is a rose by any other name, even if you deny they exist.
@virtuallyjesuschrist No that is technically not eternity, but besides that, you've just asserted that god resides in eternity. Asserting that is on the assumption that he/she/it exists at all. How do you know that it exists?
@cm3007235 For the same reason we know anything at all, I've connected all the dots. Epistemology can give you the clues. If you follow all the proofs, & recognize the signs, you may discover that I don't lie.
But then, again what makes you believe there's not an entity known as the Deity? It may be that you've been manipulated to think the way that you do, simply to affect the CHANGE they HOPE for.
@virtuallyjesuschrist The fact that I've seen no evidence is why I think there isn't one. I don't see how epistemology could indicate a creator. What examples of these dots can you give me?
@cm3007235 Why don't you take the time to view my latest video, if you want to know the truth? It's the one titled "Get over it", with the preface Jesus Christ!!! In reailty it'll take you about 7 minutes, but the choice is yours to make.
What evidence have you seen of the Big Bang theory, besides what you've read in a book? Neither you nor I was there at the beginning, but can we agree on a couple of things?
It all started at the beginning of time, and we're all in this together.
@virtuallyjesuschrist What I read in a book does count as evidence, I can't be certain that it is genuine evidence of course, but from experience I can say that scientists and the scientific method have the highest probability of being correct. I do not yet have enough education to analyze it myself.
@cm3007235 If that's the case, then read the book that was delivered by the angel Gabriel, not one that's been manipulated by men, simply to satisfy their minds. If you want to know the truth, you've gotta' do it yourself, of that you can be sure of.
The Surahs of the Noble Qur'an can help you to understand, but you've gotta' have an open mind, & the ability to read between the lines.
It's all about the mindsets of man, & how to find your peace of mind, before your end time comes.
@virtuallyjesuschrist And why should that book be believed? I can back up my logic for trusting scientific books, they've been proven to be accurate time and time again. This one hasn't.
@cm3007235 Because I've logically concluded that it tells the truth about what's going on, and in reality there's a good reason for that, if you take the time to figure it out. What's so logical about having a reason for everything, except the beginning of it all? That's the height of arrogance my friend, within the mind of Stephen Hawking.
Stephen is Hawking "Nothing" as God, if you understand what he's saying.
Why don't you learn something about linguistics, & the working of the human brain.
You can whine & cry if that's what you desire, but why would you bother trying to think what I do, when you can't even think for yourself?
You can believe whatever you choose to in that little mind of yours, but it'll never change the truth, regardless what you hope for.
Now the both of you can visit me if you choose, just google Harman Geist Stadium, & you'll discover where my head is. With that image in your mind, you can sit on it & rotate, while I ROTFLMFAO!
@virtuallyjesuschrist Who's fucking crying? Bitch, you have way too much free time on your hands. I would love to kill you and show you that you'll stay dead, there is no soul, no god, no afterlife. But that would be useless because you wouldn't be conscious. Keep dreaming! Live in fear, beg for something that you'll never have. Pray! On your knees you fucking whore!
@RobertTwelvs Listen up my little bobby boy, who happens to be 12 years old. You're nothing but a booby, who doesn't have a clue what's going on, but that's okay with me. I'm havin' my fun messin' with you, you silly little simpleton. I'm not dreaming whatsoever, and accept reality for what it is.
You seem to think you know a thing or two about a place you've never been. I'm not a guy who'll lie to you, but I know you'll get just what you deserve, whether or not you like it. Got it?
@virtuallyjesuschrist "I know you'll get just what you deserve" how christian of you. Atheists can be assholes, but only theists can justify it with arrogance an their holy book.
@kmk408ci In reality i'm a Muslim, of that you can be sure of, and the Surahs of the Noble Qur'an can help you to understand. But you've gotta' have an open mind, & the ability to read between the lines, of which you may not be capable of.
I'm not being arogant you silly asshole, I'm merely telling you what the truth is. We're all finite being born to die, and that ain't no freakin' lie! I HOPE you know you can't CHANGE that truth, regardless what you believe.
@kmk408ci Dude you've got a reading comprehension problem, could it be that your rings are bad? Repeating a comment you said once before, is no way to debate a subject. In reality I can run rings around you, as I tell you what the truth is.
It's not arrogant to know that you'll die, that's just acknowledging the truth, fool!
What's gonna' happen after that final moment is anybody's guess, my friend.
I'm not the God & neither are you, but time will run on after we're dead & gone, like it, or not.
@virtuallyjesuschrist No, we have no evidence to assume that anything at all will happen after we die. And telling me I'm not capable of reading between the lines is arrogant, so is telling me that "in reality I can run rings around you, as I tell you what the truth is." thats pretty much arrogance defined.
@kmk408ci You can choose to believe what ever you think, or you can ASSume to know what's going on, but if you take the time to ANALyze my words, you may begin to understand what the hell I'm tellin' you.
There's some evidence to believe that something happens after you're gone, but you've gotta' put your mind to it, if you want to know the truth. Just accept reality for what it actually is, & you may find your peace of mind, before you rest in peace.
@virtuallyjesuschrist No, theres no evidence for an afterlife. That's how we differ, I'm fully willing to believe in anything that can be backed up with evidence and not shown to be false. There is no evidence for god and no evidence for an afterlife, just wishful thinking, mysticism, and logical fallacy. Your religious babbling is incoherent and self righteous.
@kmk408ci In reality something happens after your life, but the truth is you can't conceive it within your mind. If you want some evidence, & the proof for what I say, you simply need to find your way to my place in cyberspace!
@virtuallyjesuschrist I'm actually in my 20's. You're a bit judgemental for a person of faith. Don't you think? I'm amazed by the fact that you respond to every single message, and that you, like every other religious person, think you know how the world is spinning. Well, fuckface, that book you so hard believe in, was written by the same people who thought that the Earth is square. Just like Sam Harris said... religions are failed sciences.
@RobertTwelvs I'm not judging you, but I do make a few conclusions. It's based on what I know of you, & the avatar that you've chosen.
That doesn't make me the chosen one, & in reality neither are you, but the truth is that I'm not lying to you, regardless what you believe.
Maybe I'm amazed at the way you help me sing my song, by the way that you respond to me. What we've got is a call & response, in the give & take of our communication.
In reality it's a two way street, both giving & receiving.
@virtuallyjesuschrist Based on my avatar? Really? That's me. I don't think that you're lying. I really don't. I think that you are stupid enough to actually believe what you're saying.
@RobertTwelvs . . . And the name that you've chosen. Why wouldn't that be you? What you think means nothing to me, and that's the truth you fool. In reality what I believe isn't what I know, and what I think is that you're stupid too.
Does that mean you're a reflection of me, or will you see me in the mirror on your wall? It may just be we're exactly the same, both finite beings born to die. But then again, I'm the guy who has his peace of mind, & you're the booby #12.
@virtuallyjesuschrist I didn't choose my name, you fucking bouffon! My mother did. "In reality what I believe isn't what I know" That's right, motherfucker! Then why you keep telling everyone that you KNOW the truth? In fact, I think that even you don't actually believe what you're saying. You see the facts (in the best case scenario) but you're stuck in your little bubble and ignore reality. You're just a kid who needs to grow some pubes.
@RobertTwelvs I agree, he sounds mentally disturbed and/or high. Although, high people's attention spans don't lend them to commenting much, so that really only leaves one option.
@kmk408ci He's one of those religious freaks. You just can't argue with these people. Thousands of years ago...humans invented gods so they can explain the things they couldn't understand, and now...after all that time we have fucking idiots like this one who live their lives like puppets and hope they'll brainwash the ones around them. They can't accept the fact that they have faith, not evidence, and nothing more.
@april20th2010 In reality April, you can do it to yourself, if that's what you truly desire. I'm just a guy killin' a little time, & tellin' you what it's all about. If you can't understand what the fuck I'm typing, maybe you should go back to school . . .
but then again, maybe you haven't even started yet. Were you born in 2010, on the 20th, of the 4th month? I'll try & be gentle with you, because I know the truth can hurt sometimes.
Now it's on to little 12 year old Bobby, who can't think ...
@cm3007235 In reality I answered that question of yours, now how about answering mine. Why do you choose to believe the things that you do, and can you think for yourself?
Yes the universe has rules, yes we don't know where they came from, but why not gods or entities from another dimension that are vastly more powerful than us - why always god? - god shmod
We just happened to live in the universe that was seemingly orderly, harmonic and elegant. It certainty didn't have to be this way but there's not necessarily something special about that. And who are we to define order and harmony when our perception of the universe is so limited by our puny senses and intellect.
Weak people must belive in something. This gives them strength to carry on. Instead of trying to find answers to what they dont understand, most of us try to hide the big questions behind God ;)
@flavius22 It's not fair to call people "weak" because they believe in a God. I'm certainly not one of them, but children are very impressionable and carry the things they've been taught throughout their entire lives. So, if a child is taught, from the time of birth, that there is a divine entity controlling every aspect of their lives, I can see how that would be hard to shake as an adult. I agree that some people are completely diluted, but I don't think it's right to place a label so quickly.
@TheGinetik I wasn't going to correct your misspelling, but then I thought maybe you got the saying mixed up since you spelled 'diluted' correctly. Thanks for not getting pissed off at me ..lol :)
@TheGinetik That's right. It generally isn't someone's fault what opinions they have. They were forced to "be who they are", whether they realize it or not. The sad part is, even after realizing it, it is not so easy to shake off the illusionary identity.
@TheGinetik Not weak because they believe in a god, weak because they have the "need" to believe in god. If a child can use logic and reason to "shake" Santa Clause, they certainly can "shake" their imaginary god as an adult. The "weak" ones cant because it fills a void in their lives that makes them happy and gives them answers, regardless if that void is filled with uncertainty, false hopes, and untruthful answers. Addicted to what they believe, yet in absolute denial.
@TheGinetik Do you think that the people who convert to atheism is also week? if not, what is your point? You are obviously religious because they are the people who say "not yet" they just want to have god no matter what so they go not yet. The bottom line is, if you are religious by anyway you are a imbecile.
@surangasa we are all but fools in our own way... and I am not a fan of others putting each other down over something like beliefs... and also, your logic is flawed at best, because how did "not yet" become "if you are religious then you are an imbecile."? The real bottom line is, you should stop wasting your time putting down others instead of taking the time to understand them better. Here is a word of advice, you should not judge others because no one is perfect.
@surangasa I feel like people who convert to Atheism are strong. To let go of a security blanket is not an easy thing to do, and that's what religion and the belief in God is - a security blanket. The fact that you think I'm obviously religious only speaks on your lack of ability to accurately place judgement on people from OVER THE INTERNET. Anyone who is so easy to dismiss another (based on their beliefs) as an imbecile without even speaking to them is, in truth, the real imbecile.
@TheGinetik an impressionable child that grows up to be a incurious adult, is weak(minded)... what we mean by weak is: believing in something without evidence simply to help you feel comfortable and make sense of the world. so its not unfair to use the word weak because it is the truth.
what's unfair is to blame them for being weak, but its not unfair to call them weak. that's the key distinction.
@Acidburn574 Youtube commenters (including myself to some level apparently because I'm doing it too, he he) are a bunch of idiots who need to shut up and stop bashing people for their opinions. Everyone has a different opinion about everything, so just shut up and keep yours to yourself.
@323BROWNBOY You got it right! There is no proof for God's non-existence! This changes things how? Like I said before, THAT is the reason why nobody should believe in it. You're ignorant because you cant seem to grasp who it is that actually plans all these weapons. Scientists? No. Your retarded government.
@1123joey Duh the government has scientists. who is the government? nobody anyone in the government can be killed for any reason there all pawns theres no leaders. plz how am i ignorant. your way causes pain so dont call me ignorant. Anyway the bible it self has already told us the signs in order its been rite so far and tells us about advance technology good luck relying and living your whole life on what science has to say
@323BROWNBOY Please enlighten me with what the Bible has foretold. And also, please tell me what YOU think Science says. Go, I'll give you as many comments as you wish, you're still wrong.
@1123joey lmao your seriously asking that knowing that the government lies to you everyday and people of this nation all know it? im not a bible expert but i do know somewhat.and i do know it talks about the ends of days and what to expect. As for science you already know that thats why we go to school.
@daninja301 Most physicist don't believe in a God, whatever your sources say, it doesn't change the fact that the majority of the modern most intellectual people on this planet, don't believe in an all powerful being.
@theafi99000 You don't believe in a God for a reason. That reason being, there is no scientific reason for believing in a God. If you agree with this, then you agree with what I was saying? So why was a apparently chatting shit?
@1123joey "Most physicist don't believe in a God, whatever your sources say, it doesn't change the fact that the majority of the modern most intellectual people on this planet, don't believe in an all powerful being."
As an atheist, I rely on evidence to back up claims; are you sure you're really an atheist?
as a popular physicist he wont admit to believing in god. he will lose fans and reputation. period. like the woman said, most physicist tend to believe is a god of some power that sparked the big bang.
why is science seperated from god? i mean all science really is is explainin how things works and getting pieces and putting them together to create new things? its like a world made of legos the ppl create stuff and call it science. i for one dont rely on science and dont want to. it has a limit anyway
@323BROWNBOY The two are separated because there is no scientific proof for God, so why would God and Science be combined? That is why they are not and probably never will be combined. You don't rely on Science? You're relying on it right now, you sat there and typed your message out, on your computer, that's science. I take it you like the medicine the hospital offers to patients? Saying it has a limit is foolish, science is limitless... one would be ignorant to say otherwise.
@1123joey There is also no scientific proof that there is no God. when i say rely on science i meant i dont care much for it. and i'am using science rite now never said i would not. theres only so much pieces mankind can put together. Ignorant huh? look at all this scientist and the way they view life and what they do make weapons and massacre people now thats very ignorant its like they have no emotion no matter science is just another creation. And all this tech is goin make us lose our fredom
By labeling the unknown as god is to be lazy. It's a cop-out. It's what humans did back in the old times when they didn't understand something. Why does it rain? God did it.
The idea of a single governing being just seems ridiculous to me. This man is very intelligent, I would love to sit down and talk with him. I'm open to what he has to say.
@FinaIFrontier spot on. although i think many people focus on the physicist's view on gods/no gods..
the best insight into the god phenomenon... i think that belongs to the biologists though. the cognitive neuroscientists, the evolutionary psychologists, the neurologists, the evolutionary theoreticians.. everything about god is brain-based operation. we can dissociate beliefs in gods by lesioning brain areas, or explain cause externalization by wrongly 'inventing' a cause, etc..
@club4ghz awww, is reading a difficult subjet for youu wittle wonn!! poor you. If i were you i'd go back and practice reading Dr. Seuz books at least most of the stories there end in rhyming form. :) Then you can come back to a descent video and be able to have a conversation with your fellow youtubers.
@Kongo. Ya iv seen it. Do you realize that science is on the verge of putting humpty dumpty back together. If it takes ten more years it will be a surprise. Excluding that, what does the existence/irreproducibility of life have to do with god. It could just as well have been aliens or fairies or just chemistry that is no longer possible. That's the reason why you have to prove positive claims rather than negative ones: no god of the gaps. That man is not much of a scientist if he can't even re
@kongo4527 Just stumbled upon it: search for "Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman" (yes, that one); episode "How Did We Get Here". It's all about abiogenysis with a 'y', right lol). These programs are always a bit annoying because they give all the "theories" and the evidence acompanied with them, but never an answer as to which of these several "theories" is most likely true. It's o they don't seem bias, but its a bit annoying. Oh and it will sort of seem like Morgan F. religious. nt. goog
For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.
I'll tell you all what this life is about. It's about the discussion here on Youtube. It's about interaction, it's about finding meaning in these simple or complex experiences. God is experiencing the activities of life through all this. It's play, it's feeling, it's relationships, it's the animation of life in this Universe, it's about discovering what it is to live as Life.
I just wonder what differences does make if you believe in God or if God does exist?
Think about it. I'm believer, Catholic...but question is for all. How does that affect your life?
I believe that God created perfectly logical universe, but does that make me a better man?
See, why you argue...you will never prove God by formula, but only by your good works as it was written. God is beyond our little discussions. We will NEVER PROVE GOD.
@moveaxebx whats the difference? you are born with a conscious, why the fuck do you need a religion to know right from wrong. Every religion has the same core values but differ from HUMAN TRADITIONS. Its slavery and hand cuffs for your mind. But your also an idiot to not believe in a "god" or creator. There must be something wrong with your unintelligent brains to think life is a joke and has no meaning.
you guys are arguing way too much over a subject that is NEVER MEANT TO BE RESOLVED. Kaku is one of the most brilliant minds in the world, and he knows to keep his mind open,to encourage people to look for the truth.he isn't biased! No one on this planet has proof of how this universe was really formed, our science books constantly change, 100 years from now, everything scientists SNARK about will be irrelevant, but people like KAKU and Einstein will be respected, they kept an open mind!
@BlackSupraC2 A subject that is never meant to be resolved? That very statement is about as closed-minded as it gets. In fact, the resolution of that subject (and the multitude of similarly "big" questions/subjects) is the very driving force behind the motives of people like Kaku, and science in general. Science itself is not biased. All the same, finding answers isn't always a "nice" affair. A scientist being snarky doesn't make them less respectable or devalue their contributions to science.
@seowhistleblower you and the other guy misunderstood me...knowing the truth about the origin of our universe is the driving force of our human civilization,to learn the ultimate answers = zero drive for our civilization to end.I'm not saying this is fact, but scientists are saying that even if extraterrestials officially make their presence known to the world, human progress will halt, and our civilization will end..thats why i said the case will never be resolved..thats just my opinion though.
@seowhistleblower sorry. zero drive for our civilization to progress, not end*** but yea dude..and also i never said science was biased or it being a nice affair. There are theists and atheists who treat their theories like facts, and talk down on people who say otherwise, and they dont deserve any respect.
@BlackSupraC2 Understood, sir. I guess being the top-rated comment comes with overly-hasty responses sometimes, huh? lol. I'm not sure I agree that civilization will end if we figure it all out, because "figuring it all out" comes with some heavily-weighted conclusions: intergalactic travel, human flourishing on other planets, genetic engineering, immortality, etc, etc. Whatever we are if/when we figure it all out, we will be the very essence of civilization! IMHO, that is. =)
@PhrAiLGuitarist Yea...have you ever seen 2001: A space odyssey? Its a fictional story, though it presents a theory that once a civilization becomes so advanced, it becomes one with space.. pretty much like God! The alien race then monitors sentient progress throughout the galaxy, and regulates its progress. In the end the protagonist turns into one of them to watch over Earth. I think that would be our destiny, to promote life. i still ultimately believe in God though.
@BlackSupraC2 well to go back to what Dr. Kaku said it depends on what kind of "god" u are talking about. and even then first one would have to demostrate that it was "one god" whose done it all, and not say 20,000 gods at the same time.. see my point?
@TheSonorama21 im sorry in my vocabulary snarky and skeptic are two different things. everyone should question...everything. i would direct the term "Snark" towards scientists and religious fanatics who push their claim and treat it as a fact, talking down on people who think otherwise, rather than conduct a proper argument and remain rational. sorry for the misunderstanding.
The big difference is that scientists often have real evidence to back up their anti-theist claims. I'll agree that they may never be justified in the condescending or know-it-all-without-really-knowing-it-all attitude they sometimes assume, but at least they're questioning the 'majority rule' rather than letting their proof be walked all over by fiction-based rhetoric. That's why I think skepticism and snark are often inseparable, although the meanings are far from the same.
I have a Theory that your brain feeds on hair pigment, The bigger and smarter your brain the more pigment it needs to sustain its self, This is why you see people like Albert Einstein, Richard Dawkins, and Dr. Michio Kaku with long white hair....

It seems... from our point of view, God is still evolving.

I dont know of any compelling evidence for anthropomorphic patriarchs controlling human destiny from some hidden celestial vantage point, but it would be madness to deny the existence of physical laws.- SAGAN
motruk4 4 days ago 11

Cifrocco 4 days ago
@Cifrocco Niezsche can say whatever he chooses, but it'll never CHANGE the truth, regardless what you HOPE for. In reality, the man was looking in all the wrong places if he wanted to know what the truth is. What appears as obstinate arrogance is the perception in your head, when someone knows what you don't.
If you want to know what the truth is, you've gotta' do it for yourself. I'm not here to save your butt, but to tell you what the truth is.
You are a finite being, born to die.
virtuallyjesuschrist 3 days ago
Sadly, the definition of skepticism in recent times has become synonymous with disbelief in anything spiritual or religious and especially disbelief in God (atheism). For myself, I apply skepticism to _everything_ including science and the scientific method, but also politics, corporations, education, etc. This is what it means to be a true critical thinker, a free-thinker. not just using logic to debunk religious dogma, but to scrutinize _everything_.
Cifrocco 4 days ago
@Cifrocco Happily, I know that God is real & I'm not one. The Divine Reality is the Deity, & I thank Allah for giving me life. The Infinite Reality that transcends both space & time, the Creator of everything, & nothing at all also. Of that you can be sure of.
The Surahs of the Noble Qur'an can help you to understand, if you have an open mind & can read between the lines. It's a struggle of mindsets all over the world, those who seek profits & those who would choose to follow the prophets.

Why not?

In reality the truth can be summed up in a statement, if what you want is to be free. All you've gotta' do is take responsibility for what all you think & everything you do. One takes place within the mind, & your actions take place in time. If you take the time to think it through, you may understand what I mean.
God is the Divine Reality that transcends both space & time,
The Creator of the seen & unseen, that noting can compare too.
In my mind God is Reason, while Stephen is Hawking Nothing.
virtuallyjesuschrist 6 days ago
@virtuallyjesuschrist One question: Same question I always ask- How do you know?
cm3007235 5 days ago
@cm3007235 In reality, I could ask you why you believe that there's not, but the truth is that I don't need to do that. What needs to be done, is understand the meaning of the word, and come to a common definition.
Stephen is Hawking "Nothing" as the reason for the beginning. In his head "nothing" is a place where space & time don't exist, but isn't that eternity? The place where God resides? A rose is a rose by any other name, even if you deny they exist.
virtuallyjesuschrist 5 days ago
@virtuallyjesuschrist No that is technically not eternity, but besides that, you've just asserted that god resides in eternity. Asserting that is on the assumption that he/she/it exists at all. How do you know that it exists?
cm3007235 5 days ago
@cm3007235 For the same reason we know anything at all, I've connected all the dots. Epistemology can give you the clues. If you follow all the proofs, & recognize the signs, you may discover that I don't lie.
But then, again what makes you believe there's not an entity known as the Deity? It may be that you've been manipulated to think the way that you do, simply to affect the CHANGE they HOPE for.
virtuallyjesuschrist 5 days ago
@virtuallyjesuschrist The fact that I've seen no evidence is why I think there isn't one. I don't see how epistemology could indicate a creator. What examples of these dots can you give me?
cm3007235 5 days ago
@cm3007235 Why don't you take the time to view my latest video, if you want to know the truth? It's the one titled "Get over it", with the preface Jesus Christ!!! In reailty it'll take you about 7 minutes, but the choice is yours to make.
What evidence have you seen of the Big Bang theory, besides what you've read in a book? Neither you nor I was there at the beginning, but can we agree on a couple of things?
It all started at the beginning of time, and we're all in this together.
virtuallyjesuschrist 5 days ago
@virtuallyjesuschrist What I read in a book does count as evidence, I can't be certain that it is genuine evidence of course, but from experience I can say that scientists and the scientific method have the highest probability of being correct. I do not yet have enough education to analyze it myself.
cm3007235 5 days ago
@cm3007235 If that's the case, then read the book that was delivered by the angel Gabriel, not one that's been manipulated by men, simply to satisfy their minds. If you want to know the truth, you've gotta' do it yourself, of that you can be sure of.
The Surahs of the Noble Qur'an can help you to understand, but you've gotta' have an open mind, & the ability to read between the lines.
It's all about the mindsets of man, & how to find your peace of mind, before your end time comes.
virtuallyjesuschrist 4 days ago
@virtuallyjesuschrist And why should that book be believed? I can back up my logic for trusting scientific books, they've been proven to be accurate time and time again. This one hasn't.
cm3007235 3 days ago
@cm3007235 Because I've logically concluded that it tells the truth about what's going on, and in reality there's a good reason for that, if you take the time to figure it out. What's so logical about having a reason for everything, except the beginning of it all? That's the height of arrogance my friend, within the mind of Stephen Hawking.
Stephen is Hawking "Nothing" as God, if you understand what he's saying.

@virtuallyjesuschrist No, we have no evidence to assume that anything at all will happen after we die. virtuallyjesuschrist 19 hours ago
@virtuallyjesuschrist No, theres no evidence for an afterlife. That's how we differ, I'm fully willing to believe in anything that can be backed up with evidence and not shown to be false. Weak people must belive in something. This gives them strength to carry on. Instead of trying to find answers to what they dont understand, most of us try to hide the big questions behind God ;)
flavius22 1 week ago
@flavius22 It's not fair to call people "weak" because they believe in a God. I'm certainly not one of them, but children are very impressionable and carry the things they've been taught throughout their entire lives. So, if a child is taught, from the time of birth, that there is a divine entity controlling every aspect of their lives, I can see how that would be hard to shake as an adult. I agree that some people are completely diluted, but I don't think it's right to place a label so quickly.

TheUltimateCynic 6 days ago
@TheGinetik That's right. It generally isn't someone's fault what opinions they have. They were forced to "be who they are", whether they realize it or not. The sad part is, even after realizing it, it is not so easy to shake off the illusionary identity.
TheBanyanEmperor 6 days ago
@TheGinetik Not weak because they believe in a god, weak because they have the "need" to believe in god. If a child can use logic and reason to "shake" Santa Clause, they certainly can "shake" their imaginary god as an adult. The "weak" ones cant because it fills a void in their lives that makes them happy and gives them answers, regardless if that void is filled with uncertainty, false hopes, and untruthful answers. Addicted to what they believe, yet in absolute denial.
dojoma630 3 days ago
@TheGinetik Do you think that the people who convert to atheism is also week? if not, what is your point? You are obviously religious because they are the people who say "not yet" they just want to have god no matter what so they go not yet. The bottom line is, if you are religious by anyway you are a imbecile.
surangasa 3 days ago
@surangasa we are all but fools in our own way... and I am not a fan of others putting each other down over something like beliefs... and also, your logic is flawed at best, because how did "not yet" become "if you are religious then you are an imbecile."? The real bottom line is, you should stop wasting your time putting down others instead of taking the time to understand them better. Here is a word of advice, you should not judge others because no one is perfect.
audiomaniac02 2 days ago
@surangasa I feel like people who convert to Atheism are strong. To let go of a security blanket is not an easy thing to do, and that's what religion and the belief in God is - a security blanket. The fact that you think I'm obviously religious only speaks on your lack of ability to accurately place judgement on people from OVER THE INTERNET. Anyone who is so easy to dismiss another (based on their beliefs) as an imbecile without even speaking to them is, in truth, the real imbecile.
TheGinetik 2 days ago
@TheGinetik an impressionable child that grows up to be a incurious adult, is weak(minded)... what we mean by weak is: believing in something without evidence simply to help you feel comfortable and make sense of the world. so its not unfair to use the word weak because it is the truth.
what's unfair is to blame them for being weak, but its not unfair to call them weak. that's the key distinction.

Anyway the bible it self has already told us the signs in order its been rite so far and tells us about advance technology good luck relying and living your whole life on what science has to say

@1123joey lmao your seriously asking that knowing that the government lies to you everyday and people of this nation all know it? im not a bible expert but i do know somewhat.and i do know it talks about the ends of days and what to expect. As for science you already know that thats why we go to school.

why is science seperated from god? i mean all science really is is explainin how things works and getting pieces and putting them together to create new things? its like a world made of legos the ppl create stuff and call it science. i for one dont rely on science and dont want to. it has a limit anyway
323BROWNBOY 2 weeks ago
@323BROWNBOY The two are separated because there is no scientific proof for God, so why would God and Science be combined? That is why they are not and probably never will be combined. You don't rely on Science? You're relying on it right now, you sat there and typed your message out, on your computer, that's science. I take it you like the medicine the hospital offers to patients? Saying it has a limit is foolish, science is limitless... one would be ignorant to say otherwise.
1123joey 2 weeks ago

FinaIFrontier 2 weeks ago
@FinaIFrontier spot on. although i think many people focus on the physicist's view on gods/no gods..
the best insight into the god phenomenon... i think that belongs to the biologists though. the cognitive neuroscientists, the evolutionary psychologists, the neurologists, the evolutionary theoreticians.. everything about god is brain-based operation. we can dissociate beliefs in gods by lesioning brain areas, or explain cause externalization by wrongly 'inventing' a cause, etc..

We will NEVER PROVE GOD.
moveaxebx 3 weeks ago
@moveaxebx whats the difference? you are born with a conscious, why the fuck do you need a religion to know right from wrong. Every religion has the same core values but differ from HUMAN TRADITIONS. Its slavery and hand cuffs for your mind. But your also an idiot to not believe in a "god" or creator. There must be something wrong with your unintelligent brains to think life is a joke and has no meaning.

fckuupify 3 weeks ago
you guys are arguing way too much over a subject that is NEVER MEANT TO BE RESOLVED.
BlackSupraC2 3 weeks ago 19
@BlackSupraC2 A subject that is never meant to be resolved? That very statement is about as closed-minded as it gets. In fact, the resolution of that subject (and the multitude of similarly "big" questions/subjects) is the very driving force behind the motives of people like Kaku, and science in general. Science itself is not biased. All the same, finding answers isn't always a "nice" affair. A scientist being snarky doesn't make them less respectable or devalue their contributions to science.
seowhistleblower 3 weeks ago 17
@seowhistleblower you and the other guy misunderstood me...knowing the truth about the origin of our universe is the driving force of our human civilization,to learn the ultimate answers = zero drive for our civilization to end.I'm not saying this is fact, but scientists are saying that even if extraterrestials officially make their presence known to the world, human progress will halt, and our civilization will end..thats why i said the case will never be resolved..thats just my opinion though.
BlackSupraC2 3 weeks ago
@seowhistleblower sorry. zero drive for our civilization to progress, not end*** but yea dude..and also i never said science was biased or it being a nice affair. There are theists and atheists who treat their theories like facts, and talk down on people who say otherwise, and they dont deserve any respect.
BlackSupraC2 3 weeks ago
@BlackSupraC2 Understood, sir. I guess being the top-rated comment comes with overly-hasty responses sometimes, huh? lol. I'm not sure I agree that civilization will end if we figure it all out, because "figuring it all out" comes with some heavily-weighted conclusions: intergalactic travel, human flourishing on other planets, genetic engineering, immortality, etc, etc. Whatever we are if/when we figure it all out, we will be the very essence of civilization! IMHO, that is. =)
PhrAiLGuitarist 2 weeks ago
@PhrAiLGuitarist Yea...have you ever seen 2001: A space odyssey? Its a fictional story, though it presents a theory that once a civilization becomes so advanced, it becomes one with space.. pretty much like God! The alien race then monitors sentient progress throughout the galaxy, and regulates its progress. In the end the protagonist turns into one of them to watch over Earth. I think that would be our destiny, to promote life. i still ultimately believe in God though.
BlackSupraC2 2 weeks ago
@BlackSupraC2 well to go back to what Dr. Kaku said it depends on what kind of "god" u are talking about. and even then first one would have to demostrate that it was "one god" whose done it all, and not say 20,000 gods at the same time.. see my point?
mmmodafoca 2 weeks ago
@BlackSupraC2
A scientist "being snarky" is a SKEPTIC. A QUESTIONER. You want to shut them up? Then you have no place in an intelligent discussion.
TheSonorama21 3 weeks ago
@TheSonorama21 im sorry in my vocabulary snarky and skeptic are two different things. everyone should question...everything. i would direct the term "Snark" towards scientists and religious fanatics who push their claim and treat it as a fact, talking down on people who think otherwise, rather than conduct a proper argument and remain rational. sorry for the misunderstanding.
BlackSupraC2 3 weeks ago
@BlackSupraC2

@TheSonorama21 i agree with you in the end.
