Sammy is a true to the word "rockstar" he was doing just fine before Van Halen. He was the best replacement for a frontman. They wrote good music with Sammy. A+ from this listener

I have seen a few different versions of Sammy singing this, versus Dave more recently. Sammy does this song better. He has a better voice. And he has sang it much more than Dave.

@rock100pre You got that right! VH were in top form during the FUCK tour. The Balance tour also was great sounding and all the band playing at 100%+. All the tours with Sammy in my opinion, except 2004 reunion, reflected a very pro, tight, great sounding band. But ultimately, the FUCK tour was arguably one of the greatest sounding tours ever.
hagar and dave are total different... Dave is the Voice... Sammy is more traditional rock singer...
