I think you can safely assume 65% plays wow without having played warcraft, what's even sadder is that that whole category doesn't even care much for it to begin with. :(

and then even funnier is that its probably better that a lot of people dont care about the lore, cause when you read into everything compared to the way WoW is set up, not a lot of it makes sense....i think ive read almost every piece of lore on warcraft through WoWWiki because i find it interesting, but more than half of it doesnt even fit properly into the WoW plot :(

That is so true, an example I experienced earlier comes from The Last Guardian, the book telling you what exactly is going on with Medivh.

They tell you that demonology in Dalaran and elsewhere is strictly forbidden.....so back to WoW....oh look warlocks and minions.

@dthsythehell Yeah but you realize that LORE is history right? and that history is HISTORY. Just because we enslaved african americans doesn't mean we will ALWAYS enslave them. You see my point? Just because demonology was forbidden when that book was written, doesnt mean that with Archimonde's fall they didn't change their minds. :p In warcraft, you do what needs to be done to survive. Demons serve that purpose well, besides, when facing the burning legion, you need some demonic insight
