I actually stop my vehicle completely before crossing the tracks, even if the singles are not doing anything. I try to use the underpass train bridge if at all possible, that my town has provided.

@krazyjey Actually - in a strange way - he may actually have inadvertantly caused this to occur.. as YES the bus driver DID flash his lights.. (but i also assume he sounded his horn... thinking the person with the camera was going to walk across the road in front of him... not een realising a train was there & probably still doesn;t know...? all he would hav seen (being obtusely blinded by the angle to the train.. & it would have been the standing people (that) he was watching

GET OUT AND COUNT the number of drivers whom do NOT CHECK EITHER SIDE... they don't even look... as often machinery fails, power fails... and at all times... one MUST assume the bells & kights HAVE FAILED... (but do people slow or check hell no.. but if this were a road intersection - THEY WOULD LOOK)

Muy cierto, ya vez el accidente de Cuautitlán en Diciembre del 2006, donde un tren se llevo a un camion matando creo a casi todos, hasta el puto chofer de mierda queria fugarze todavia...es por eso q el gobierno esta construyendo metrobuses y ferrocarriles suburbanos para quitar lo mas posible los camiones de pasajeros y combis. Railroads are NOT required to install (or maintain) crossing equipment although Ferromex is working with the Government now to improve grade crossing protection especially in urban areas. Guadalajara has a few very large streets with 6 and 8lanes with bells and lights that don't work!

@fxe4005 The X is actually called a Sr Andrews Sign.. and in NZ - these are still used for minor crossings, gravel backroad crossings & the like .. where the use of high tech bells & barriers is comletely wasted on a crossing that MAY only have half a doaen vehicles a day.. BUT that bus driver broke the law.. ALL bus drivers of passengers (the world over- are required to STOP before proceeding over ANY crossing)
