Hey man, Kudos on the broadcast. I think the Nets will have a solid year. If they give Yi his minutes, he COULD be another Garnett. I seriously think that from watching him play. He's got the speed, shot, hops. Everything you could want from a Foward. They should look to develop this kid. After Carter retires, Yi may very well the the franchise player for the Nets.
people like u, are the reason for this game not evolving. Yi is young and kinda wet behind the ears but i personally think hes going to be the most improved player and be great in this situation.just because jefferson loves NJ doesnt mean anything, its about winning games and planning for the future he couldnt effect the franchise. and our base sucks bitch man nets all day.and lebron wont come to NJ its not happening ur high dude,
Basketball not evolving? I never blasted Yi calling him undeveloped but he did have a dissapointing rookie season. There is alot of weight on his shoulders with the olympics and China so he has alot more to deal with then the average rookie. RJ was great and it was evident when Kidd was traded that we were starting off fresh thus the next card had to fall.
As far as 2010 FA, it's never a bad thing to have a load of capspace to attract FA's whether its Lebron or not.
Actually it wasnt a dissappointing rookie year for Yi. First of all, he was playing with one of the worst team in the league, the BUCKS. Yi average about 9 points a game and a career high 26 points i believe. I believe that is a good start for a rookie, just give him more time then he will become a superstar.
I do consider it to be a bit of a disappointment even though I'm a big Yi fan.
Any player that gets drafted in the 1-10 range is usually not on a stellar team. Yi came out the gate with expectations and met them for the fist bit of the season and then hit the 'rookie wall'.
He's going to be such a talented player, you can see the potential he has already in his first Nets games. Put him in pick and pop situations similar to what Krstic had with the Nets and he will be an all-star in no-time.
yall better stop doubting on VC..VC is one freakin amazing player n is the new leader of this team n i can only swear that he will make a huge turnaround for this team next year..yall wait n see...n RJ..we will miss you..the trade sux big time but u did so much for the nets..n rod thorn will retire ur number
Its a great trade for the future and the present. We have great young talent and will sell tons of tickets because of Yi. RJ will be missed...but LeBron is coming....:)
lebron will go to the nets when his contract is up because he wants to play in the city of brooklyn, and he is good friens with jay z since he is an owner
hey, RJ was great. but he got to his peak already and it's time for Net rebuilding the next generation greatest. Yi can shoot long range and is very quick for his size
well it may not b a big deal.."If" Yi becomes a flop he gave us bigger salary caps and since hes asian he gives the Asain American community to endorse himso then we get a king (BTW Yi looks like hes going to be a good flavor)

@ vc15rj24
We still have a big 3 of VC, Harris, and Simmons :p...
In all seriousness Yi will be a great player hopefully an all-star...
hopefully in 2010 we can have 3 all stars in Devin, Yi, and King James

when the big three were there last season. The net was struggling for win even at home. So what's your point of not making trade?
tonyforgood 3 years ago
actually tony they where fine till vince carter got hurt they were 4-1 at that time till vince hurt his ankle then they went downhill from there
