I can relate to this video. The woman I loved, her father did everything in his power to keep her from me. Even in this world today we still had people look at us as though what we were doing was wrong. Even the people whom I thought were my friends told me it wasn't right. I love this video.
But when you realise that she wrote this song about her and Swizz, and about being ready to show their love to the world, even though it came out of an affair and out of wrecking another womans life, it makes you look at it a bit differently. This song and 'sleeping with a broken heart' and a few others on the album are all quite condescending of Alicia to have penned!!

@QueenLevine How can you say it came out of wrecking another woman's life when there were many other women before her? If you really listen to the song it says those feelings are becoming hard to ignore, which to me means they didn't act on their feelings for some time. People need to stop judging situations they really don't know everything about.

@anitabreakone I have not said that Mashonda & Swizz were in marital bliss before, but I have read Mashonda interviews and saw her open letter,
and I completely empathise her.
I've always been a fan but the image that she projects of herself is a contradiction to how she has behaved in her personal life.
I still think shes an excellent artist, but from what I've seen about who she is as a person, I'm not a fan off. Thats my opinion, just like u obviously have your own.

@QueenLevine I most definitely do. I am still and always will be a fan of AK's music. I also think she is an amazing performer and person. No, I didn't say I think she is perfect and could do no wrong. Yes, I've also read interviews from Mashonda and I choose not to believe what she has said over what Alicia has said. As far as Alicia wrecking Mashonda's life, I think Mashonda needs to take a good long look before blaming one person.
