i concur with Chrisderose. its a nice story but largely inaccurate, its true some of the same rhetoric and language that lincoln used in the emancipation proclamation come from Adams plan for abolition but "mentored" is not true. Clearly this guy based on this video and the others here is trying to push some Right wing christian agenda
Wow, complete nonsense. 1 - Lincoln didn't run for re-election. 2 - No evidence of their interactions. Not in their letters, not in Adams' diary. 3 - Lincoln's thinking on slavery had many influences dating back many years. Not one shred of evidence that Adams was his mentor or brain dumped into him, whatever that means. 4 - Lincoln was 39 years old, which was older than his life expectancy. How is he a kid? 5 - You say he executes Adams' plan: did Adams' foresee the Civil War???

BS, There is no proof that Adams "mentored" Lincoln. All we know is Lincoln met Adams. Barton is not a historian. He offers no proof of what he says.
