  • does anyone know if that is Mark Knopfler playing guitar at the end?

  • Am living this song..! Such a tragedy...! But will prevail...! Am getting the goosebumps with his voice...!

  • Again, THIS IS TRUE COUNTRY MUSIC , not juiced rock........... real country......... There's still some out there, but they don't play it on the radio.............

  • will alway LOVE RT....till this day his voice reaches my heart ---- love ya Randy Travis

  • love it!

  • Amazing..!

  • wow. Few artists today have the star of their art their voice. No hiding behind syntheizers for randy

  • Make that Roy Orbison and Randy do the best versions of Pretty Paper. I have an equal and great respect for both Randy and Roy. Randy, did you ever check out Shannon's brick? The 23d brick?

  • Make that Roy Orbison and Randy do the best versions of Pretty Paper. I have an equal and great respect for both Randy and Roy.

  • wow Randy Travis never disappoints.

  • Wow...what a wonderful song

Just heard this on the soundtrack of a film and had to come and listen to it.

  • Randy you have replaced Don Williams as my favorite .I can't find a song of yours i Don't like.

  • Randy hit #24 in Billboard, 8-17-96. God bless ya, brother Randy. Hugs to ya!

  • Song was written by Mark Knopfler, but this is an extremely respectable version.

  • this song stopped me in my tracks . . .

  • wish I could go back to 1998

  • damn-it boy, what a great voice and song. Mr Travis can't sing a bad song, not possible. probably sound great singing the newspaper. i have no doubt of that statement. and look no dislikes votes? hmmmmmm something must be wrong, i can't hardly watch any video on youtube w/out some idiot voting the wrong button. kinda hard to breed stupid out of your family tree.

  • Beautiful sound and lyrics all put together by one fantastic man with a soothing voice.

Today I just keep hitting replay..replay..replay.

  • @CLKamin You said it perfectly, I'm "replaying" as I I "reply" 2 your comment......."Are We In Trouble Now" could be the title of a great full length movie bases on this story....or is this video version just PERFECT the way it is? oops! time 2 hit "replay"

  • Why is he playing a "lefty"

  • @ianus48 He wasn't playing a lefty guitar if that is what you were mentioning. On a lefty we hold the neck of the guitar in our right hands.

  • Such a lovely song with lovely words.

  • Actually the interlude riff sounds like Mark Knopfler. It will mark my ignorance if that is a known fact.

  • great mark knopfler song done justice by randy bur i miss his weeping guitar

  • Travis must drive his producers nuts, he doesn't HAVE any " B " songs.

  • graet singer

  • I loved the song, but missed the meaning behind it? She left?

  • as a child, I watched my grandparents dance to this song in the living room.. they were so in love.. when my grandma died, my grandpa (who doesn't ever sing!) knelt at her casket and sang this to her one last time..thank you so much

  • @northMNmommy

  • @northMNmommy That is a beautiful memory. Thank you!

  • lovely song....Randy good job ....love it

  • Great song and like the video

  • fantastic song...well done AGAIN randy x

  • I'm a big Mark Knopfler fan and this version stands right up there with his. Too bad we can't hear it with Knopfler's guitar solo.

  • I love hearing what a song stylist as Randy Travis can do covering a previously released work.

  • I think Mark Knopfler's version is as good as this. We can't compare the two version because the voice and the guitars are not really the same.

  • este tema es original de mark knopflers, pero esta version no está mal

  • and another great song, by one of the best singer of country music. thank you Mr. Randy Travis, for one hellava song...

  • Classic.

  • This guy is just stone cold smooth.

  • Mark Knopfler´s is the Original. This one is the knockoff.

  • my dad was a radio dj. I once told him that i wanted to hear a randy song. I woke up to him dedicating this song to me on a sunny fall morning because I had a soccer game later that day. I taped it on a cassette and have it to this day. He died not long ago. My best friend...what a nice memory it is. I never hear this song, but when I do, it reminds me of that autumn morning where my father played a randy travis song for me. Thank you.

  • Check out Mark Knopflers version also, equally as good.

  • This is the absolute best version of this beautiful song. Randy does a fantastic job. 5*
