Every vector job posting online does not include the name of the company, and their website also doesn't include "vector" in the URL. All the signs of a company that has so much to hide.
Let me get this straight, Vector hires out of work, broke and uninformed students, charges them $150.00 and sets them loose with a bag of knives. Well this is very insightful.
@ledguy315 Vector has sales & customer service pos'ns which are a great fit for students. These pos'ns provide students the opportunity to gain transferable skills such as communication, networking, time managment & negociation. We are certainly proud of our training program and the University of Calgary is a partner with us in an experiential service learning project called Selling Smiles 101 (R) where sales management students market Cutco Cutlery and all the proceeds are donated to the CWF.
@ledguy315 Vector does not require our representatives to purchase the products, we just ask for a $99 fully refundable deposit on the sample kit they use while working with us.
I hope this video becomes huge on youtube. I'm so proud of my friends featured in this video. They are NOT paid actors and they are all bright, hard working individuals with dreams and goals for themselves, their families, and their communities. You don't find more honest work than with Vector :)
Working for Vector has given me so much confidence in myself and my abilities. I have won scholarships, made very high income, made some great friends, won trips and learned skills that you can't learn at a regular job. I would recommend everyone to at least check it out and see if it's for them, if it's not then at least you know you tried. Working for Vector is whatever you want to make it, and for me I've made the most of it and it has been amazing so far :) Many great things to come
We have locations across Canada, go to work4students.ca to find the office closest to you. We do ask anyone we select for the position to put down a fully refundable security deposit for their samples. If they choose to move on at some point, they may return their samples and get their deposit back. While this position may not be for everyone, I'm certainly glad I found it 15 yrs ago as a student. Vector really does offer the transferable skills that students need regardless of career path.
My Vector Experience has been exceptional! Regardless of what others say... I do make money here, more than my friends :) Vector is full of the most amazing people and YES are managers are 23/24... what are other 23/24 year old people doing... waiting tables, OURs are running business!
This company is associated with "cutco" cutlery and is a scam. Pure and simple. They ask for money to purchase "demonstration kits" and pay for "training sessions" which costs over $100. In the end you'll make no money. They "encourage" you to sell to your relatives. Total scam. I attended one of their "group interviews" and the guy leading it was no older than 23/24. Total joke, everyone got offered a job...Even the ones that brought nothing to the interview and said nothing...scam.
@KJW160 There is no way this company would be a multi-million dollar company if it ran off scamming people. There is honest work that takes place at every level and most of the "scam" stories are based on misinformation. Training is free and the kits are 100% refundable. Please don't spread lies.
@armstrkc Here's something for you to ponder. If this is an honest company that cares about it's employees, then how do you account for the hundreds of complaints/flags on the internet (just google) concerning it? And what kind of company hires employees based on the criteria that if they showed up (no ID, resume, nothing) they are offered a job instantly? Call it what you will, I'm sure 100's if not 1000's of people have found success in this company, but this is my experience and it is true.
@KJW160 We are proud of the fact that we are able to offer entry level positions to many people to allow them to gain valuable resume experience, they might not get elsewhere. We believe in giving people a chance. Because of this, sometimes circumstances occur and people voice their opinions online but we would be happy to assist you with your particular situation regardless if you choose to pursue Vector or another path. Please feel free to email me directly at sdickie@cutco.com.
@juffan Yes, Vector Marketing representatives market Cutco Cutlery, a product that has been around since 1949 and backed by a forever guarantee. However, it is not door-to-door, representatives only work through personal referrals and receive a base pay regardless if a sale is made or not.
