I did exactly what the video instructed, but it still will not record games. It will record windowed games like Minecraft, but not full screen games like Portal 2. Can you help me? I would greatly appreciate it.

When im done recording i go to see the video and the desktop is ok but when it goes to a game it shows all black ( for some games it shows a small box on the uper left corner of the gameplay) can someone tell me how to fix this plz ?

ik ive done all that, locking to application got me rid of the black screen glitch, but the recording is shocky and bumpy. the moment tiny explosions are happening the screen shivers black and normal screen. the cursor drags a tail in the video(was only blinking while recording).

If you're having trouble locking to application on games like amnesia and such just run the game in a smallish window and set Camtasia to just record that. Works a treat and it doesn't lag your games as much!

@shash381 It's up to you, you can buy FRAPS or download it. If you crack it and use it illegally, you can't argue with autorities.

It's hard to find quality programs free these days. If you're going to buy it, it's not so expensive. U$ 37,00 is cheap even for me. (I live in Brazil, stuff tend to be a lot more expensive here).

I really recommend that you buy it, it's worth the price. You can see the result in my channel, as I said before.

@stathisdj did you try anything possible? make sure you follow steps and it keep not working, change video settings and select compressor codec to DivX 6.9.2 (8 logical cores) and set quality preset to 2x
