Its hard to say Reed is the best ever cuz there is a handful of great safties but Reed is by far the smartest safety. I mean this guy is always around the ball and thats not because his coaches put him in different places around the field like the Steelers do with Polamalu, he does it all on his own because he has great instincts

@xfactor541 Agreed. Ed Reed is the best safety ever. Sean Taylor may have been in the conversation had the tragedy not happened. Terribly sad. But Ed Reed is a beast. The most dominant player at his position since Ronnie Lott. If Ed weren't so good at safety, they would have found a way to get him the ball on offense. Too good in the open field, too tough also. Amazing athlete. Go Canes.
