He does seem like a dick. The guy in black's trying to catch on to David by doing this little skit with him and initiating a lot of improv with him. I don't think it was a planned joke because it had no point and David didn't try to be funny. I think people often initiate spontaneous improv skits wit guys like David, and just end up trying to fuck with him instead of doing an idea.

idk, there's a few instances where cross's definitely just fucking with'em, like the beginning and during the first question when he just talks over him. i don't think it was planned either, but i do think he was being intentionally funny a few times.
