Yeah I loved Summer in TSCC. It was just getting good at the end of Season 2...when they time jumped to the future. We'd have seen more of Summer as that girl and explored that dynamic with John. I loved that show. I miss it. :(

@MsProudtobecanadian luke and leia? sorry couldn't resist, nahh... as cool as some aspects of star wars are, the characters and their actors didn't click in the way firefly's did. i think that camaraderie, both on screen and off, was one of the things that made firefly special. that and the fact that firefly/serenity put river in a mental state where she's alot more dependent on her brother than in other sibling relationships, i'd say it's pretty unique.

@rabbitspliff true you are right (: i've recently found out about a very unique show that in a way has a beautiful brother sister relatioship. It is called Children of Dune. Check it out. its pretty cool!

I swear this was in the movie! I remember it clearly ... or is it just the acting and the "EVERYBODY!" that's deleted?

For me, despite how much I officially ADORE all the characters, there is just something incredible about Simon, about the way he cares for River and loves her SO much! Especially in this scene, when she talks about killing herself and he says "Don't say that ... not ever." This scene always gets me cos I know what it's like to have suicidal thoughts. Man I wish I had him! <3

It was a good bit I agree.... but it makes sence why they didnt put it in, it would have revealed too much verry quickly, the director(s) wanted the suspence as long as they could keep it......

@Jshaw71 Understandably....TV isn't really amusing to me anymore either. For a while, supernatural was an exception until it began to draaaaaag ooooon foreeeveeerrrr...so I stopped watching (but apparently it got really good a season after I stopped watching..d'oh!) For now, Firefly (which i haven't finished watching actually) and Dr. Who are the two TV shows that are interesting to me :D

I can't wait until I can borrow the next Firefly DVD from my sister.

@Fuleadeare yeah sadly, tv is just, blah, most the time i loose track of shows, but when i am buy season collections only get season one, cause it was the best, with a few exceptions, i donlt get over season 1, but yeah shows drag on way too much, but i guess they try to keep peoples attention that way, but it bores a lot of viewers in the process as far as firefly you should go out and get the 'series' that way you can watch them whenever you want, also firefly episodes are up at hulu.com too
