and yao ming always had a consistent midrange shot. hes a good shooter

I dont think Yao needs to try. Stand there, wait to get a defensive rebound. Walk back for offense, stand near the paint and call for the ball up high, then strength his way closer to the basket and shoot a 1-5 foot shot.
