Why do people eat Lobster?

Our grandparents were ashamed to have it in their lunchboxes because only the poorest of poor people ate underwater "bugs" or "insects".

It's a pollution filter in the shape of a bug. :P

I live directly on the ocean of Nova Scotia. I can snorkle in my front yard and grab some lobsters if need be.. let alone the herd of deer in the back yard...

I just don't understand the fascination of lobster.
