No scoping with the bolt action rifles is no different to using any gun, just you don't have a crosshair (which with practice isn't a major disadvantage, I bet when you shoot in a split second the crosshair doesnt contribute much to your cognition anyway). Unless you put a dot on your screen. The rest is just luck that it hits anywhere near the crosshair as the precision is pretty low.

The precision characteristics might have changed over time though.

Id be far more impressed with footage of an actual game in which the sniper did something useful and supportive. As I said, no scoping in BC2 is just a game of odds. @Luoke7 it might be a late answer but the key to run faster is to increase your field of view (FOV) check some video tutorials and it will help you! In BF3 you can change it in game options:)

Sure it's unrealistic but games can't have too much of a sense of realism to them because that wouldn't actually be that fun to be honest :D PS: I tend to hardscope quite a lot too.
