@freddyisalive its a no name it was on the car when i bought it. any 50$ straight though muffler from a parts store will sound the same if you have the 2L engine and stock 2.25 inch piping.

im not trying to hate but just so you all know less back pressure = more BOOST , FASTER TURBO SPOOL the glass pack not the best of ideas and the biger the pipe the better my buddy has a tsi and runs off the down pipe only and runs 12s

14b's spool like hell running a 3 1/2 inch downpipe, to thrush bullet and dumping it before it reach's the firewall (almost nothing for exhaust, but not very loud compared to the o2 dump)..

As for this video.. 1/5. I couldnt once make out what it even sounded like over the o2 dump.. Maybe take a video of the car idling, and free reving a bit so that the o2 dump doesnt take over the sound so badly.

well that sucks but i got it worse, broke my timing belt about 5 days ago pulled off my head and when the belt broke i bent 9 valves =(

Bro, check it. I busted the belt on mine like 3 years ago. when I took of the head i had bent 13 valves. I decided to put a low mi engine in. she's back on the road now (got a quick vid of her, hint hint). Props.

i thought it was the head gasket but when i pulled the head off i melted a piston! lol overboosting and my fuel pump was acting up i shouldnt have pushed it so hard. good excuse to put in 2g pistons though

Yeah, they don;t usually throw an MIL (check engine) because OBD1 doesn;t use a downstream 02 sensor. A nice feature when you wanna run full race exhaust.
