According to Shamus Culhane, who worked around the studio at this time, Burt Gillett - who directed and created this color series - was bipolar and got into violent tirades with everyone.
i never knew this was made in 1936..mmmmm i watched 10 years ago when i was a kid...god i love the singing in this cartoon.....you talk too much...you never shut up
@YouToons100 i remember i had the vhs and at the end there was some short funny clips or something, not related to him and i used to love them but i could never find it :(
lol im not the 1 who posted the vid but anyway, i could never find this on DvD when i tried looking :(
@YouToons100 This one, no I can't remember but it's from those collections of cartoons you can find in the 5$ bins at walmart. Has 250 or so cartoons on a couple of disks.
Oh my gosh. I used to watch this so much as a kid. I'm so glad I found it. I couldn't remember the name but I remembered the storm. Funny. I always thought it was much longer. Hahah
I used to watch this to (as little). I remember the storm to, but if you mean you always thought the storm sequence was longer is your memory similar to mine. I can't remember that character on the tree was Felix with mandolin (i thought that was a guitar), i thought also that this cartoons plot only was about the storm and that cloud was a earth/moon as collapsed. :)
@LadyTonna: It's in the book 'Talking Animals and Other People'. Give it a read. It's great.

My favorite part is when Felix sings "Nature and Me.'' His voice sounds so cute!

I love this one. I also love the one when Felix goes underwater to find a fish friend for his fish.
