  • So one day, we should have a universal mind control system, to use things such as televisions, video games, cars, doors, and even pay-as-you-go.

  • only 0.1 % of our thoughts are conscious. The rest is thought unconscious.

  • @Superwopwop You obviously don't know how much 0.1% is. Being able to think in general requires consciousness, have you ever heard of unconscious person driving a car? No.

The capacity of our brains is not measurable, just think about it. Even when you look around your brain is storing information. You can't measure brain capacity, ffs the brain is just a heap of meat with a bunch of connecting nerves.

  • uhm ok WHAT?

  • AHAHAHA what a crappy experiments! >=D The rat uses more than one muscle to pull the leve, so how can they extrapolate the signale for any muscle? Nay, they HAVE to do this experiment by using humans! Only in this way they can get the pure signal of one muscle, telling to the subject to move a determined muscle.

  • I understand nothing :(

  • Thats Cruel to see, Imagine if they used that technology on humans, not good.

  • how is it cruel wtf are you talking about

  • @Holyordained I'd be the first to volunteer. You oppressive people and your conservative nature, what an insult to man. Keeps us in our nadir, our floor of evolutionary distinction.

  • すごい

  • Amazing

  • wise remain closed off. i am not condoning drugs but i feel in a proper medical seting we could learn a lot from the effects of psychotropic drugs on the brain and nerveious system. there are whole areas in the brain that will never be taped into without a little help.

  • i dont believe that we as humans use more than about 10 percent of our brains at any one time but i do believe that we use about seventy percent of our brains throughout our lifetimes, i believe the othe 30 percent of our brain is used for the redistrabution of neron function. the brain is a truly fasinating organ if there is severe head trama the brain simply starts createing new path ways and neral transponders. take lsd for example, it has been proven to open up new path ways that would other

  • ok here it is Humans use 100% of their brain plain and simple. But there are something our brain controls subconsiously that limits our abilities, Take for instince your body strength, if your brain natural limiters where off then your muscules would rip themselves apart, same thing for the whole telekinetic thing, it limits humen thought so it dosnt effect the area, and cause brain damage. So be happy

  • i suppose my first reaction was sort of pity for the rats but maybe it will help science and understanding

  • Yes and I think that this time period is a very real example of self-destruction.

  • That's freaking disguisting, what they're doing to those animals. And don't anybody dare to tell me, "You lack of knowledge when it comes to science is shit forthis world." I mean, the technology, as I always find great to understand, isgreat. But I would like to hool that up to ahuman. The lives of the animals are no less important or valuable than our own.

Now, let us hear someone object??

  • Oh I suppose your a vegan then, and wouldn't mind giving up modern medicine to boot right? Since all drugs must be proven effective and safe on animals before entering human testing.

Also, PETA is that way -->

  • A) Animals, including humans, are meant to feed off of one another B) Technology has come along greatly because of animals, and I respect that C) We were built with the intelegence and intelectual capacity to rule over this world. When we are in war and being overthrown by a country or some other being beyond our defeat, then perhaps this can help us. Or when dissability calls for some cyborg-related limb, then maybe this can help. But this is notnecessary. Also, Peta can suck my balls.

  • Cool, I like being wrong in circumstances like this.

If you want, look up transhumanism on wikipedia, it's pretty interesting stuff. Andy Clarke has some good books on cybernetics as well, "natural born cyborgs" is a good one.

  • Well thank you.

  • Think about how much this could help other people, and animals as well. Think about all the children thats lost their arms or legs in wars, and think about all pets that looses their legs cuz a car hit them. This project is for making good, and to give individuals an alternativ life, easier life.

    Just think of it.

  • You see, you don't know me. So you don't know that I think CONSTANTLY. I've thought of everything that my 10% of brain allows me to when it comes to this. And yeah, I understand that. But we've already got the whole prosthetic limbs thing down pact. My brother has a prostheticlimb, I know and respect that more than ever. But this is unnecessary. Controlling rats doesn't help humanity.

  • Yeah, you got a point there. To controll the brain is unnecessary. But just the think with controlling machines and robotics with only the brain is a very good thing.

  • But controlling a rat's brain seems so stupid. I don't think stripping the animal of will helps us in any way. And I bet that animal loves having wires shoved in his brain. Rats andany other animal, for that matter, have very different body structures than humans. The experimentation on animals doesn't do much for us, despite what they tell you.

  • Yeah you got a good point there. I think it´s better to build a small, maneuverable robot to find people below collapsed buildings.

The rat still got its own will. The only thing this stuff is doing is to stimulate an area in the brain and making the rat thinking about movin to the right, for example. It may deny the "order". But if the rat is moving to the right the controller is stimulates a part in the rats brain, and that will make the rat feel good, and will continue to follow the "orders".

  • I know. But I just don't think it's right. I hate the feel of all these wires and hooks and shit. Don't get me wrong, technology has come a long way, it's great. But this wasn't meant to be, all of these disections and use of animals for such things. Sure, humans are very much capable and sucessful in ruling this world over. That doesn't make it right, though.

  • Yeah true. But they got to start somewhere. I dont think we´re so far away from being able to skip the connect-to-brain-thing. Soon we´ll be able to connect a mechanical hand directly on the forearm.

And the human is too smart for her on good x)

Our great succes too often leads to destruction. Sad but true.

  • Yea, but imagine this, never have to go to school, just installed education in your brain and then indeed, your qualified for a PhD at the age of five, with a developing brain of a child so young, who knows what we're come up with! One problem, teacher, proffessor, ect would be out of bussiness, but hey, new job arrive!

  • that would be stupid, everyone would be doctors and astronouts and no one would do the shitty jobs

  • That would be cool, and guess what no one would NEED to do shitty jobs, why? Robots!

  • You know that this is a myth right?

We use ALL of our brain all the time.

Not just 10 percent of the total capacity.

  • Less than 10% of it is used by us consciously, some of that being sensory, hearing, reasoning, etc. Obviously, the use of the brain is always in progress and always increasing as wisdom comes. The human brain IS 100% active, but only 10% of it can be used at any given time to prevent sensory/neural overload. And other parts of the brain are not in use for we haven't got the ability to use it. But, mastering things such as meditation can allow more than 10% of your brain.

  • Again wrong. The 10% number is a total myth and applies to nothing.

  • The 10% of brain use thing is a myth, that's not how the brain works. Parts of the entire brain light up with activity all the time.

  • could you immagine? an army of cyborg rats, Id gather a million of them and let them do the thriller dance all together!

  • @flodo666 and I'd be there jacking off to it

  • I'm sure your lack of endorsement will wither the scientific community.

  • So i guess you don't fly or drive either, since you weren't born with wings or wheels right?

  • damn robot can also control rats's mind. (in the end)

  • FUCK HUMANS

  • AGREED.

  • AGREED FULL STOP

  • I'll third that agreement.

  • I'll third that agreement.

  • I feel sorry for the animals that have no choice but to do this. Technology is great though.

  • How do you know that? Maybe the scientists have made a pact with the animals.

It's not all that bad really. Free food, regular medical checkups, and a fun filled dose of drugs every hour. MMmmmm...

  • You have a point there. Sounds like a great way of life. Where do I sign up?? haha

  • see they test all this stuff but there are soo many flaws. If there werent there would be mass production of this technology and soldiers and citizens with missing limbs will be able to gain what they had lost in an accident or more

  • This is so awesome, a really intressting collection of videoclips and no useful info.

Mabye i can turn of the Comp screen and meditate to the relaxing noice from the narrator and the music.

  • u lost me at coco.

  • LOL

  • you mean the one at around 15 sec?

  • USB rat for the win...

  • I feel bad for the animals, but the technology is awesome..

    :cyborgian dot com

  • thank god they translated that white guy, i couldnt understand what the FUCK he was saying...

  • who need this shit???

  • Disabled people?

  • Mankind.

  • aarrgghghhhh

    i.. cant... understand..... ARRGGHHH

  • OMG poor animal... :( Rats are so cool/.// Why don't they do that to humans... most of us deserve it

  • TERMINATOR

  • Tortura inutile!! Il test è necessario che sia effettuato su un essere umano e non su un animale, se lo scopo è applicare la tecnologia al primo

  • pls turn a rabbit into a cyborg

  • whats with the robo-rat XD
