Germany systematically uses torture and murder to silence any opposition. Some of the murders known to the public: Uwe Barschel, Jürgen Möllemann, Heiner Gehring, Martina Pflock, Tron, Karl Koch, Bernd Seiffert, Kirsten Heisig, Fritz Bauer.
My brother Markus Bott had been tortured during 5.5 years by the German BND. He was assassinated on 11.7.09 because of our homepage.

Yes he is Chaplin, who saids that is not him? Im very shure of that, the way hi moves, the thing of his mustache, his eyes, his small hands, his thin body,I mean I really believe that is him.
I adore Charlie. But the whole time I was watching I couldn't help thinking of Bill the Butcher. Haha.
Thank you for posting this. It's wonderful to see footage of Chaplin playing characters I haven't seen before. He was so brilliant...a finer actor than the majority of the ones today COMBINED.
This is absolutely brilliant! It's perfect for a silent film, as the flea circus business did require a lot of gesture and movements to make it convincing. And I think ti's a delightful little skit, despite it being 'unfinished' :). Thanx for uploading!
Wow, even though its just the eye make-up that's missing and that he has a bigger beard than normaly & mean face he looks so different, but yes, there are his moves, which make clear that it must be him and no one else.
However much I'd like to take credit for this delightful little skit, I'm afraid I can't. Don't let the heavy make-up fool you, watch the tiny hands, the one-of-a-kind body language, it's Chaplin alright. This footage was restored and included as a DVD extra to "Limelight", from the Chaplin Collection released by MK2. @spanishlake that's totally chaplin. look at the ears and hands. the way he keeps his shoulders. that's totally him. plus i recognize the guy at the door at the beginning from a lot of the keystone shorts he was in.
great! thanks for uploading. I'm a big fan of chaplin. what company released this version on dvd? i bought a collectors edition in barcelona and the quality is really old and worn...not like this one. any info welcome!
You're welcome. I'm surprised no-one has commented on this video yet - "The Professor" is an absolute gem in my opinion. Perfection on film... the character, the comedic timing, everything - like clockwork. Thanks for commenting :-)

Of course, he´s Chaplin. He wrote about this scene in his autobiography. He´s dressed to looks like an old man. But he was perfect, as always.

it's true, Charlie is unrecognizable in it! It's very surprising how he changed easily his look!

I notice that he is Charlie by the way he moved, but he looks very different!
Were Phyllis and Henry in the box? =D
