hell your loosing money as ya burn off your gas, lol, i'd just shut her in, get your well tender or you fix the leak, open it back to the main and let it rip, heheh
@ljones121 ????haha ur funny, they are probably trying to kill the well or such so can get a workover on it, and most likely didnt have a pipeline there yet so have to vent gas, or shut her in
@mongration fair enough that bad boy most be a high pressure formation to burn like that. do you know what they did to have to start the fire? casing collapse or fail maybe? and yea i could see the no pipeline issues, which i'm suprised they are venting before a shut in, wouldn't just be easier to stick a high preesure well head to hold her back till your ready for production?
@ljones121 This was a gas field that I discovered in 1985. We ran a pipline to a boilroom near by and produced about 250MM cubic ft of gas 10+year time. Now what you will not believe is there was only 4 producers and the depths were only 230 feet! Shut in pressure was only 65#. The formation was a Devonian Limestone called the traverse in the Michigan basin. I took this video(cell camera) as to just show how much gas these wells wanted to still make before i plugged them.
Its real! Check State well records
