@tpersing88 pretty sure the gt is in the 370s class. When I went to Nissan (370z) and Mazda (RX-8), they each have a brochure comparing gt, genesis coupe, 370z, and rx-8. Each car has their advantages and disadvantages. Not every consumer wants to buy a race car to drive everyday, though I do lol.
@turbomonkey36 GT isn't in the 370s class, the V6 is. Genesis, V6 Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers, etc, are in its class. The reason they compare it to the GT is because the V6 can't keep up, so they set their target on the next highest model.

@tpersing88 pretty sure the gt is in the 370s class. When I went to Nissan (370z) and Mazda (RX-8), they each have a brochure comparing gt, genesis coupe, 370z, and rx-8. Each car has their advantages and disadvantages. Not every consumer wants to buy a race car to drive everyday, though I do lol.

@turbomonkey36 GT isn't in the 370s class, the V6 is. Genesis, V6 Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers, etc, are in its class. The reason they compare it to the GT is because the V6 can't keep up, so they set their target on the next highest model.

@tpersing88 Hmmm, motortrend must have had an off day. Their own website's review for the "slow" GT posts a 0-60 in 4.3 and 12.8 in. And again on their own website's review, the new 370z does it in 4.9 and the quarter in 13.4....

The funniest part about this is that Nissans Z cars have a streak of record breaking track times in their stock bodied cars, where as Ford only has it in their top model, the Ford GT. @dalotel lol alright kid, look. first off, i'm 23, and i've had my license since I was 16. Second, I've been competing in SCCA solo E for 5 years now, so when you actually hit a track, start talking shit. I haven't had the pleasure of driving any of those, though I did compete in super stock solo with a friend of mines Z06. You're right, the Z doesn't compete with cars not in the same class, but it out performance all others in its class. I'm not having a conniption, I'm just enjoying
