  • Another cool video. Thanks

  • DILDO OCTOPUS HORNY COW

  • Double Over Hard Cock!

  • Amazing

  • 7 People drive hate driving cars with good engines

  • Great animation...

  • wow. that just put everything i know in theory about an engine into something i can see without #*@%ing an engine pulling it appart to see for myself. great video thanks

  • POR FAVOR. PRECISO DO MANUAL MECANICO DO CAMRY LE 2.2 ANO 1994/95

FAVOR LIGAR A COBRAR PARA André Luiz (21) 7735-1940 next rio de Janeiro

    Desde já agradeço!

  • nissan engine

  • like my D16A9...

  • Has the 4 cylinder engine changed that much over the years.

  • Blue air = oxygenated air. Red air = deoxygenated air/carbon emissions. For those who asked.

  • i have on in full option 's chrysler voyager 2000's :D, this is my first car after licence, and i live in france and smoke those gay european cars !!!

  • 4 people are women

  • what about w 16 engine animation..?? you must be amazing...!!

  • 3D 動画 イメージ映像 ありがとう

    初心者には 大変ためになります

  • Is the green thing the fuel injection

  • @ppplks yep it sure is

  • .....reminds me of old 124 AC Fiat - DOCH 16 Valve Arbarth head circa 1972.

wasn't very economic - but it went like a cut cat.

  • nice videos dude!

  • @picmario They had 60 mpg Engines on the BWM in 1922, what progress are you on about?

  • blue air mean the fuel and air

  • so what does the blue air mean???

  • Time to build a 4g64 destroker gentlemen

  • is there any video that shows the working of SOHC and Quad cam???...any video just like this 1...

  • @5AMM0608

  • @r4njh4 no reply...just blank????

  • im either thinking about girls or engines

  • beautiful vid

  • twin cams ftw.

  • wow this video must have taken forever to edit, great job

  • Double Over Head Camshaft

  • what dohc means???

  • Dual Over Head Cams

  • Double Overhead Camshaft, Twin cam

  • @Liveyourlifeon0402m Double Over Head Cams , exact same as a common 'twin cam'

  • @Liveyourlifeon0402m hey man! do you have any knowledge about cars?hmm.....this is ABCDEFGH..... of car's engine........dohc--> double over head cam and OHV---->over head valve.......both have different arrangements.

  • @r4njh4 is there any video that shows the working of SOHC and Quad cam???...any video just like this 1...

  • since the cams are situated over the cylinder/valves, and not in the block, there is less drivetrain inertia to overcome. What you get is a freer revving engine that can rev higher. See, a pushrod design uses exactly that...pushrods to turn the cam. That's a lot of extra weight that "slows" down the engine. So max engine speed is reduced, thus max potential power is reduced. But DOHC motors are not exactly saving in weight either. Since the cams are on the top, the engine tends to be bigger.

  • Whats the advantage with one of these over a push rod motor?

  • ya pretty much everything these days comes with dohc

  • not if its a GM Product, push rods ya thats the way to go. and you wander why there cars suck so much.

  • And you wonder why my Chevy pickup is about to toss over 500,000 miles and it still runs like brand new? Yeah, how about them apples?

  • a screen saver? haha

  • I'd really like to see a similar video of a Audi 2.3L 5 cylinder engine =)

  • nice

  • 16 valves is great

  • @tayson89 Turbo charged 16V even better! And more efficient!

  • DOHC VTEC !!!

  • NOT vtec

  • @kozigreek at what part of the vid did it say that it was VTEC?

  • Comment removed

  • This same thing is on my Career tech teacher's wallpaper. It's a toyota Engine.

  • my 4.4L BMW has DOHCams

  • my 2.3l mazda 6 sport has DOHC with VVT

  • Someone put a lot of time into making this

  • dual over head cam, dohc is amazing

  • not against a 350 it isnt

  • my 307ci dohc will smoke my friends 350 camaro

  • camaro is stock isnt it?

  • your dumb.

  • many 2.0 and smaller enines would kill a 350 besides some 350s(5.7L) are DOHC im with ya integraguy

  • And some women are actually men.

    What's your point?

    350's are mostly pushrod.

I do agree that the performance of a 2L and lower and higher are on par and sometimes greater than the usual American muscle engines. The only thing they have to "gloat" about is speed off the line thanks to huge torque. Otherwise, in the REAL world, they're just... well, gas guzzlers.

  • Nice !! 5/5

  • One thing missing is when the cams switch over to VTEC Y0!

  • most interessting video i have seen on youtube so far thanks!

  • 5 stares!!!

  • I have this as a screen saver

  • How do you do that as a screensaver, I'd love to know! Cheers.

  • Dunno someone sent it to me!

  • I like it much. Good job!

  • holly crap nice vid dude!!!!!!!!!

  • fuckin cool.

  • fuck VTEC...DOHC BABY

  • i dont know where you got that one buddy

  • Many VTEC engines are DOHC you idiot

  • You really haven't a clue about engines, do you?

For people wondering its a ford duratec engine.

    1.8L

  • lol, have a look at the engine in a honda integra R. 1.8 litre Dual Over Head Camshaft(DOHC), Variable Valve Timing and Electronic Lift Control (VTEC). Produces more than 100 BHP per litre normally aspirated.

  • I know is was 9 months ago, but HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH

  • Brilliant. A joy to watch.

  • that is so awesome

  • ummm sorry i mean i-vtec..hehe

  • can someone tell me what's the difference between a DOHC engine and the i-vtech engine?

  • Nothing. DOHC simply means it has dual overhead camshafts. VTEC is Honda's variable valve timing system. It switches over to high-profile secondary cam lobes at 5000 RPM, allowing more fuel and air into the cylinder. Basically, it allows you to drive economically because it uses less gas below 5000 RPM, but you also have the option of stepping on it and having more power after 5000 RPM. You can have DOHC engine with or without VTEC.

  • More in depth is that VVT, which many companies use in their own way, generally means there's a lag time past a set RPM because they retard the cams, often by pushing a positive pressure oil into the cam which, at a certain RPM pushes the cam shaft either forward (advancing) or backwards (retarding) so that the valves stay open longer at higher RPM's allowing a greater amount of air/fuel to enter, or to close quicker at lower RPM's giving it better response time and fuel economy.

  • there is Vtec SOHC and DOHC Engine's from Honda. Usually engages 4,500 or higher depending on ECU. I been in a I-Vtec RSX you could still feel and hear it engage around 5k rpm but I was told it's like my old 89 Golf Digifant Computer. It would change with the style of driving and I vtec is designed to give you the extra torque and HP at any RPM. Anybody correct me if IM wrong about I-vtec.

  • this is fucking well made!!!!

  • that is not a kr engine.

gti engines does not have a full chain. Only between the camshafts.

  • Great vid!

    Golf MKII GTI KR!

  • It's not a KR, KR engine have CIS Injection (mecanical injector), engine in the video have electric injector

  • I know, just remembered KR engine...

  • Engines are such an amazing thing, had a fascination with them since I was a kid ...

  • Mechanical Engineering. <3

  • almost halfway through civil eng, but ta for the comment

  • @muddwell I love them to, it's a shame they only produce less than 50% of useful energy! About 30% for petrol and 40% for diesel. If the manufacturers wanted to make them more efficient they would've done, but why would they? They get paid from the oil companies not to make fuel efficient engines -)

  • @oavel24 Yeah, its all true. Direction injection helps, but you cant fight physics ... and oil companies.

  • i bought a honda prelude its pretty amazing how much power you can pump outta a very small engine, but awsome vid

    thanks

  • Suck, squeeze, bang, blow :P

  • omg thats cool

  • upload an integra 90-93 engine

  • i have also dohc engine.... :D

  • INTAKE, COMPRESSION, POWER, EXHAUST

  • awsome! this video explains everything, i'm studing this and now i understand all

  • Hey, what a great video. Can't wait to show my wife/kids there's no-one under the bonnet in a cycle, and also, my engine is NOT spring-loaded

  • thank you so much, this was so informative, must be a lot of work, thanx for uploading now i know how my civic si actually works and stuff :P

  • Nope nevermind lol

  • I think..

  • I have this engine ;o

  • cool. thanks for uploading....

now i'm understand how the engine works..
