James plays a guy call Steve. Steve is dating and is in love with a girl called Fiona. All the kids are Fiona's brothers and sisters. Because of issues with their parents Fiona has riased them like they were her own so she can't leave them behind when Steve has to flee the country thus this amazing scene. This episode made me cry my eyes out when it originally aired I loved it and I love James he is such a great actor

It made me soooo upset. It was ridiculous. My sister walked in my room while I was depressed over this and she was like "For a TV SHOW????" Haha Just goes to show you how amazingly good this show is.

Steve leaves without Fiona, and in the final episode of this series, he comes back for her, and they leave together (after a few dramas on the way)

They're exporting the show to the US, but the US will have its own version, so it'll probably be all flash with no substance there, just like they did with other Brit-imported shows (The Office, Queer as Folk, Deal or No Deal, etc..)

Don't forget "Coupling". I loved the British version of that show so much. I live in the States and was so happy to see a version here. The first episode was WORD FOR WORD of the UK version and it crashed and burned. The humor just didn't translate.

I love shameless especially series 1+2. This episode always makes me cry the sheer emotion James McAvoy and Anne-Marie Duff generate between them as Steve and Fiona is intense. The part that sets me off is where the camera focus on Fionas face as she relasies she has to stay behind, we get to see thanks to Anne-Maries amazing acting that loss of her hopes and dreams... it is really moving.
