nope we are the first hbcu we were there giving an education to blacks before any other school. we are the first place of higher learning for blacks, and if you look at it that IS what an HBCU is. yea you handed out a degree 1st.... so what? but we did have accredidation before you were thought of.....now you do your reseach............ (WE) CHEYNEY UNIVERSITY PAVED THE WAY............ IF THERE WASNT AN US THERE'D BE NO YOU! (think about it)
