So much for thinking a vst of a Vox could be the saving grace of the blandness of the digital age. Maybe if you punch holes in your speakers with a screwdriver?
It's actually a standalone app, not a VST, for linux (and compiles on mac as well, I think). To be fair, I think this vox emulator sounds decent for my own purposes of organ-esque sounds and when I want something that sounds different to the B3 emulator in Bristol.
Also, I don't think the digital age is bland at all, look at the Yamaha DX7, one of the first digital synths. I think it sounds pretty cool, and FM synthesis is quite intruiging imo.
I'd suggest asking on the bristol forums (link is in the video description). The dev is usually very responsive to any threads/posts there.
But bear in mind, that if you're running windows, you won't be able to run it at all, due to the differences between linux and windows. Someone did get Bristol to compile on Mac, though it's unoffically supported by the developer of it.
@RayManzarekGod i know im replying to a year old comment but if you want a good vst of the original vox, google "combo model v" or use native instruments but they only do the super connie. cheers
