I was hooked on MsContin and Oxys and when i wanted to stop i took suboxone for like 8 days to avoid withdrawal and it worked. Haven't touched a pill since and never had any withdrawal after the suboxone.

@speedoflite1 Exactly. I also detoxed cold turkey from Percocet and a couple other medications. I know its the worst way to go but weening, to ME, feels like prolonged symptoms. I"m sure there are tons of people out there that disagree and would tell me all I"m doing is hurting myself but like you said, there is no turning back. All the negative symptoms will subside eventually and you WILL feel better. Just look at my most recent video, compared to before I have SO much more strength.

My best advice would be to cut off ANY possible way of getting the medications, I made sure all my doctors knew what was going on so the possibility of relapse was essentially zero. Hang in there and if you need anything, talk, ask questions, I'm here.

@Assassinator41 I hear ya bro! Anticipating cravings, I flushed all my meth/percocets down the toilet early on. Main complaints right now are extreme weakness & fatique and some nasty diarrhea. Example: I just dread having to walk/climb stairs of my home, and my normal cardio/lifting routines at Bally's are currently out of reach. Can't keep any solid food down for long. (Sucking on water ice helps). Hope this helps others!!!

Yes straight up OC or Oxycodone has no acetametaphine however it still does SOME damage even if its a small amount, to your liver. It also slows down your bowels the narcotic part of it, so it does do damage, don't fool yourself. I'm finally starting to be finished being on this as I had my final surgery 7 weeks ago and I can say I CAN'T WAIT to not have to take this horrible stuff anymore. I'm sure you need it for your back but think of all the horrible consequences and good luck getting off

ive helped a lot of people through their detoxing period since ive been through it and the worst i personally saw was this 180 pound woman taking 500 to 600 mgs of oxycontin a day. she went through hell detoxing. the worst part was she wouldnt drink the gatorade i gave her and she only got sicker so i had to take her to the e.r. three times the first week just for fluids to be put back in. this is important youre fluid intake. water will flush you worst of the vitamens you need. drink gatorade.

1) 650mg x3 doses per day is not prescribed in the USA. You would be scripted Oxymorphone (dilaudid), methadone, or morphine (Intramuscular home or oral).

2) Oxycodone doesn't damage your liver, its bioavailability orally is so high, it doesn't even make it to be broken down in the liver, it is sucked up, transferred over the BBB (bloodbrainbarrier), and saturates your Mu+ opioid receptors.

I don't know your full condition except you're tolerance to oxy's. If you are an addict or having trouble getting off of oxy's then suboxone if a life saver! If you don't have insurance than street value is 5 bucks a pill which is way cheaper than oxy but harder to find. Suboxone takes away ALL desire to use and you have no withdrawls. It also stops the progression of opiate tolerance. If you stay on opiates the highest high is death. Take Care

Don't let your brain fool you, realize when the pain from the actual problem has stopped and stop taking the meds. This was one of the hardest things to get over in my life. for anyone out there like me NA meetings help me so much. and to the guy in the video... the thing that helpped me start my detox was admitting to my family. they're the ones that help me pull through the phyical and mental part of all this.

with methadone you still get a solid 8-10 hours of powerful pain relief followed by 14 or so hours of residule....and its waiting for you at the pharmacy everyday so you cant take it all before its due and run out. its a great plan even for chronic pain patients that get addicted and in special cases you can have a 10mg pill that you pick up every morning when you get your other dose that you can take later in the day to help with pain.

yes but with methadone you have a prescribing doctor that would set up a medical detox instead of being on oxys in an addcited state and detoxing...well constantly, over and over.

i agree, i know people who tried methodone for in between scrpts and they totally lost themselves to it. please don't ever take methadone.

i dont think you should be spewing medical advice like its a fact to people that could potentially ruin or end their life. I agree that methadone is not a substitute for prescribed medication maintanance UNLESS it is being severely abused, but methadone on its own has great pain controlling capabilities and has a half life of 24-36 hours so you wouldnt have to pop oxy's all day long
