I also live in NYC and yes 5th ave does seem a little quiet, but that is always expected in tough times, but when it comes down to it I think Americans will only allow so much, media is the big killer of ppl thinking this way. To live in NYC isn't cheap, I pay 1,000 for a apartment here that would cost me $300 in Alabama, the cost of living is crazy here! This City is only good for the 6 figure workers and even then its still tough!!

yes, the street of NYC is going BUM. my friends are losing jobs, and home. I have friend and family who own home living with me now, cause of career lose. we are trying to leave the Nazi state (NYC).
